“convenient and nice rooms”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

This hotel is well located in town. The rooms are beautiful. We stayed in the basic rooms and they were really well designed - great bathroom and well presented. Rates include a delicious breakfast. The manager was particularly helpful in organising day trips, travel etc . You can rent bikes and easily ride out to Wat phou from here which is a good day trip.
This is small charming riverside town so a good place to stay for a couple of days. The local spa, and island day trip were also good and we enjoyed the a chance to wind down in a great hotel . Whist staying here you can eat at the hotel which was good or walk or ride to other places in town.

Room Tip: we had a basic level room across on the river side and really liked it .

If you have a plan to tour in champasak, especially about Vat phou, i highly recommend this hotel to you. The location of hotel is very near from Vat phou world heritage site, and rooms are very clean. Also staffs are very kind, and special. The manager and some staffs can speak english very well. You can lent a bicycle or motobike here, and also book a boat to other island near here. One more thing, you can also take a bus or van at front of the hotel to Pakse.

Room Tip: Just ask to hotel managr, Toi. He's very kind, so he'll tell you the nice room you want.

Nice location, with comfortable and well-decorated rooms lying on the Mekong. A good place to explore the region in a peaceful place. A nice restaurant is just across the street, and the hotel staff can arrange a lot of trip and excursion in the area, so I really suggest to spent here a couple of days during your trip in Laos.

Enjoyed our stay here very much; it was an oasis of peace - the restaurant serves good food, too. We had a ground floor room over the road from the main hotel; it was modern, the plumbing worked and the beds comfortable. There were gaps round the windows which would probably cause a mosquito problem in season. The hotel organise bikes and trips, too. We were picked up from the airport, but it was pricy.

Room Tip: The block over the road from the hotel is modern, clean and roomy - probably best to try for an upst...

We stayed here for 3 nights in the modern 2 storey rooms round the back of the hotel. Very comfortable large bed and modern shower/ wc etc upstairs and a sitting area and separate modern stone bath downstairs. Loads of hot water so easy to relax after a day out. We used the hotel bikes to cycle to Wat Phou - an hour and a bit's ride - and the most amazing ruined temple, 200 years older than Ankgor Wat and no crowds. Another day we booked a taxi and after an exciting ferry ride from near the hotel across the Mekong, we visited the waterfalls and islands known as 4000 islands - 2 hours drive from the other side - so quite a long day out. We liked the fact that the area was not too touristy and so is less developed. Maintenance of the upmarket shower/bath may be an issue in the future.

This hotel is only five years old but clearly shows lack of maintenance and areas of the Hotel are shabby and require re-decoration. I stayed in one of the Villa rooms in the main building which was large and well equipped and more than adequate for a single traveller. Mosquito nets are provided and definitely required as there are noticeable gaps in the brickwork around the window frames. The towels provided were in an appalling state with stains on them and very threadbare. I asked for new fresh towels but were are all in the same condition.
The timber decking outside the room was in a poor condition and potentially dangerous as panels appeared to work loose when you walked over them.
The food was fine so no complaints there but some of the service was indifferent, although the manager tried his best and was keen to arrange trips and transport and provide pedal bike and motor scooter hire.
This could be a good hotel but has been run down and is very disappointing.

We stayed in the superior accommodation across the road from the hotel. The beds were comfortable and there was WIFI, a mini bar, kettle, 2 free waters and tea and coffee making facilities. Forget a view over the Mekong. The shuttered and glass windows are very difficult to open and you look out over waste land before the river. The windows have gaps such that a very large mosquito could get through. Mosquito nets are provided. The first night we were there, music very heavy on the bass was being played from somewhere nearby until 2 am. Not really condusive to sleep. A guide book mentions the possibilityof a swimming pool. It must be very well disguised.

The reception and restaurant are in bad need of the walls being scraped down and repainted. Breakfast is fine except if you have fried eggs. They were cooked so much as to be inedible. We found the restaurant food to be of average standard at average prices. I think that fusion food should be avoided, but what a good advertising buzz word it is. Much better to provide good local food and good Western food. East is east........
