We have been very satisfied members of Wickwoods for six months but only recently tried the restaurant. There was a real buzz on a rainy Saturday lunchtime and the meal was lovely. The seasonal vegetables in tempura batter were perfectly cooked as was the pheasant with creamed celeriac. The chocolate desert with scrumptious raspberry sorbet and plump cherries was perfectly balanced. The price was very reasonable for such a high standard of cooking and in future we will be inviting friends and family to join us here.
Having lost quite a bit of weight with the Wickwood's gym programme and use of the swimming pool and spa, we felt that we could be a little indulgent but there are plenty of very healthy options on the menu. We are looking forward to the opening of the Glass House dining area in March as this will give a better view of the lovely grounds.
There is a continuous programme of investment in the club to expand the facilities so be prepared to encounter some building work in progress.More
