I stayed at the Amara Mountain Resort in October 2013 and it was simply wonderful. I was given the principle room upstairs in one of the two old colonial houses and it felt like I was a guest in someone's house. The room was superb as was the original ensuite bathroom with its marble bath. This room had one of those new nifty electrical wall sockets which can accept any type of plug. The views from the windows into the garden were a joy. Dinner and breakfast were in a very nice dining room; the food was excellent and the staff attentive and very helpful. I recommend the Myanmar Red Mountain Estate Sauvignon Blanc...so just enjoy yourself like I did!!
