We felt very welcome and were right at the base of the Taos Ski area. It was beautiful and the accomodations were superb. I wish we were there longer to enjoy all of the hiking right outside the door!

Room Tip: The king suite was ample and comfortable

Located at the Taos ski resort village, Alpine Village Suites enjoy the proximity to the mountain woodlands and a cool 10 degree summer temperature advantage compared with the town of Taos, a 20 minute drive away. Though there's a scarcity of summer restaurants in the immediate area, you'll find many excellent places to dine on the short drive to Taos. Having a comfortable, well-appointed suite situated on a mountain stream makes up for the inconvenience. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are large and well appointed.
We'll be back next year when Houston summers creep back up to 99*

Room Tip: Ask about the two bedroom condo- it has a full kitchen , 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, fireplace and balcony...

We stayed here as our base for hiking Wheeler Peak (up via Williams Lake, back down via Bull of the Woods trail). It gave us everything we needed: comfortable spacious rooms (not the most modern, it should be noted), friendly staff, and a location right in the heart of the (small) ski valley resort. Note that there is really only one place to eat dinner in the resort during summer low season

Very cozy accommodations. Ample sized room (king suite) and very comfortable. Loved the rustic woodsy decor throughout, it was exactly our style. Delicious breakfast, very nice hot tub, and great proximity to all of the ski resort activities (we were here in July and plenty to keep us busy) and hiking.

We stayed in the Alpine Chalet for a wedding in Taos and had just a great time. Plenty of room for our immediate family to stay and for us to have other family come to gather. The place was very clean and the staff was there immediately with any request or question we had. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you to all that made it that way.

I was there for a wedding in the area (in June), and stayed 4 nights. My queen suite was very comfortable and laid out well. I enjoyed the hot tub and great continental breakfast(s). While in the area, I would also recommend Cottam's for rafting, and "Big Al" for horseback riding. I had a wonderful time enjoying both activities.

The hotel location is fantastic located next to the ski area. The listing for the hotel is not stated as "ski out" accommodations, but the hotel is at the base of the ski mountain. The views from the hotel are amazing in all directions. Parking is not a problem and once you arrive, you will not need to move your vehicle unless you depart the area for entertainment. Also, the staff were very helpful. This hotel is not a full service type of resort. My description is compared to visiting a friendly aunt, anything you would like, they will try to fulfill your wishes. The property is not going to be the newest or most modern, but you will be comfortable and welcomed with enthusiasm. Also, the room are very large with ample space. We enjoyed the fireplace and and sitting area. One note, the ski area was not a major entertainment location. Based on our experience, this was a nice and comfortable resort for relaxation.
