We made reservations for Christmas Eve with Shannon a week before our trip and I had to give her a credit card with a 48 hour cancellation. She said there would be a shuttle at the guard shack to take us up to the restaurant at 8pm. We called at 645 and said we could go early and have some drinks but the person that answered the phone said no, just wait at the guard shack and the driver will be there at 8pm so we went and bought some time and waited at the Stray Dog until 755pm and walked over to the guard shack. We waited until 815 in 15 degrees and no shuttle. We called and the lady said just a few more minutes and he would be there. We waited a few more minutes and called again and no answer then called again and the lady said they weren't really sure where the driver was and she had not seen him all evening. About 840 we finally gave up and walked to the Blonde Bear and had our Christmas Eve dinner there and were treated very nicely. We had to call and cancel our credit card as we had gotten so many conflicting stories, we just did not want to take any chances. So, our advice is don't give them your credit card and take a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Supposedly it is a nice place if you can get there. We won't ever try it.
