Airport Inn
Ranked #3 of 7 Piarco B&B and Inns
Reviewed 26 March 2008

My friend and I flew through Trinidad on our way to Grenada and needed a place to stay overnight. Despite our midnight arrival, Sita Singh, the owner of Airport Inn, promptly picked us up at the airport after we had contacted her via the Information Desk in the Arrivals Lounge. Cold refreshments and beer was on hand as we relaxed on the porch for a bit before calling it a day. When we got up in the morning, breakfast was ready and we were taken back to the airport in time for our onward flight. The Airport Inn is located very close to the airport (approx. 5 min drive away) which was great for us considering the time of our arrival. The room was large, spacious and immaculate with a private bath. For $90 USD that included breakfast, airport transfer (both ways) and all taxes, we both felt that it was a good value and a very comfortable stay. Sita is a very gracious hostess and made us feel very welcome. All in all a good experience.

I found this hotel after being referred by somewhere else that was full. It was very nice and clean. The very nice owner picked us up at the airport. I would recommend for an overnight stay, though not for longer as there isn't much around there to do. Even finding a place for dinner was challenging (although for $10 US the owner dropped us off at a nearby mall where there was a food court. Not exciting, but better than nothing)

reliable airport pickup, definitely the place to stay if you have no business in Port of Spain and do no not want to spend big $$

hotel is basically a private home run like B&B, extremely nice lady that runs it, quiet, clean, secure, wi-fi and breakfast.

It is inexpensive by local standards but I would like to see some fresh fruit and brewed coffee at breakfast on my next visit ;-)

Last Night me and my wife returned back from the Islands of Trinidad and Tobago. We left on 7th March 2008, 11.25 am Delta Flight to Atlanta and boarded Delta 3.05 connecting flight to Port of Spain, Piarco Intl Airport reaching at 8.43 PM. As our final destination was Tobago, We stayed at Air Port Inn bread and breakfast owned and run by Ms. Sita Singh Phone No [-------]. The host was not only a pleasant person but also the room and bathroom was very clean and spacious. She served hot breakfast and dropped us at the Piarco Airport next day morning for our 10.25 AM flight to Heaven of Tobago. Total cost for all services for both USD 90.00 where as Holiday Inn Express asked for USD 207.77 Senior Citizen Rate per night, which was very reasoable for overnight stay. We stayed at Sandy Point Beach Club at Crown Point which is only 15 Minutes by walk or 4 Minutes ride by car. As we got a 4 bed room 3 bath villa in exchange from RCI it was a great place to stay. The Resort own beach was only 2 minutes walk from our villa. Next day the customer service arranged a trip to Bocca Reef which lasted almost three hours with a great price of USD 20.00 per person. The glass bottom boat took us to the reef where we saw different varities of fish, corals and the Nylon Pond. The ocean water in the Nylon Pond was only 2 to 3 feet deep, very clear and sand gave an excellent message to the tired feet. Next day we took a trip to Pigeon Point Beach which is hardly 2 miles from the resort. The ride was complimentry. Pigeon point beach is supervised and maintained by the Tobago Government and you have to Pay USD 3 or 18 TT per person to use the beach. The coconut and palm trees are lush green and very tall. The view of the beach is so gorgeous and prety it seems like you are in Hawaian Islands. Water was warm and great. We spent good time at the beach. Next day we took Tobago Island Tour which lasted almost 9 hours arranged by the front desk. The tour was in a car with only 2 passengers. The tour guide Abraham retired employee was very cooperative and courtious. He showed us Turtle Bay, Bloody Bay, SpySide, Englishman Bay, Plymouth Bay,Scarboro, Island Capital, Security Obsrvation Tower, Rain Forest , Sweet Oranges and Mandrin Oranges Farm also Let us buy fresh Mahi Mahi fish at 16TT or 2.75 USD per pound. Final Two days were spent on the resort beach taking pictures of the landing planes, flowers and humming birds. On 13th Morning took early Flight to Port of Spain, took a Tour of Caroni Swamp and Port of Spain the Capital City. Stayed overnight at Airport Inn and Next day morning boarded 8 AM Delta Flight to Back Home. The Island itself, The People and Sandy Point Beach Club were the best. Elvira, Toby and Krystal were very helpful in making our trip Unforgetable for ever. We will go back again in Oct 2008.
