We did walk up to and around the castle. Whilst it is a great place to go and see, to be fair, it would be better in the sunshine.
Cost is great at €3 each to get in, something English Heritage and National Trust could take note of...
Do take a hike up the central tower and get the cobwebs blown away. It was cold and wet the day we were there so we could only imagine how great the views are from the top across the Tanaus hills.
Go and see for yourself, it's worth the walk.
