I'll keep this brief as I can't justify wasting my time thinking about this place.
I organised a corporate goly day here in June & was extremely disappointed to say the least. The breakfast on arrival wasn't ready as the kitchen new nothing about it, I think the sandwiches we had at lunchtime had been made the previous week, one of our group had their clubs stolen, the staff were extremely inefficient and, there was no manager anywhere to be found.
A real shame as the place has real potential.
Extremely unprofessional & poor service to boot.

I stayed at this hotel recently on a work trip and was delighted with the surroundings. It has a fabulous golf course and the views are spectacular. The food is delicious and the service very good. The rooms are fine, nice and warm, and the bathrooms and facilities are very good. Enjoy your stay but bear in mind that you are out in the country with a 15 minute trip to the nearest small town and within approximately 30 minutes by car of Shrewsbury or Chester - both good for shopping, sightseeing and eating out.

We (being a group of 8 golfers) stayed for a weekend golf break this June. Upon arrival (around 3pm on the Friday) we were greeted by an extremely rude receptionist who simply said that our rooms weren't ready and we'd have to wait, we were directed to the clubhouse Bar to wait. We got over there hoping for a drink and a bite to eat only to find filthy cluttered tables, nowhere to sit and that it was ridiculously understaffed for the amount of people there (not a manager or supervisor in sight) after waiting about fifteen minutes at the bar, we gave up. When we eventually got to our rooms we found them to be extremely small and very very basic, there were no towels in my room, the soap dispenser was empty and the remote control was broken, the whole room was generally shabby (my friends rooms were much the same) The actual Hotel bar is absolutely tiny - we couldn't even get in the door so we opted to go straight into the restaurant and order drinks from the wine waiter.................... what wine waiter?!......... there wasn't one in sight. I did however notice the manageress sat at the desk apparently very busy doing absolutely nothing. Overall Food was poor, service was terrible, accomodation very average. Golf - OK. Not the kind of experience we'd expect for the money we paid. The whole complex is in need of an overhall, they might try employing some staff with some enthusiasm and passion for what they do instead of drones. We will not be returning.
