Just back from a 3 day break. My fourth time here, as good as ever. Accommodation excellent. Spa excellent and treatments excellent. The village pub has great food and some good beer. Many places to explore.
The hosts are wonderful. Can't fault it. Came home feeling totally de-stressed.

My Daughter and I have just spent a very relaxing, restful, and enjoyable weekend here!
Our cottage was very cosy and had everything we wanted. Everything was spotlessly clean, it was peaceful all the time, even though there were other guests staying. The spa and treatments were excellent- The best body massage I have ever had, and my daughter said the same about the Indian Head Massage!
We followed the suggested walk to Challacombe church- it was delightful! We saw a lot of new born lambs in the fields.
On Saturday evening we had a delicious home cooked meal which was brought to our cottage, everything was piping hot, and the beef was lovely and tender.
This is definately worth travelling to, so give it a go- you will not be disappointed!!

Mum and I booked this as a treat for Mothers' Day weekend. We had a lovely, cosy two-bedroom cottage with everything we needed to cook on our first night. A breakfast pack had everything necessary. On Saturday we went on the suggested circular walk (map and directions provided) which ended at the Black Venus pub. A lovely walk through fields and woodland - recommended. Took us about 1 1/2 hours at a leisurely pace. Then we used the spa area, which we had entirely to ourselves. It was lovely to relax in the Jacuzzi/pool and steam room. Our treatments were absolutely superb, and it was lovely to then relax back in the cottage. A delicious meal of beef bourgignon was delivered to our door later in the evening.

I can't recommend Home Place highly enough! Fantastic for a weekend to really get away from it all.

This is my second stay at Home Place Spa and one of my friends 3rd stay so it definitely won't be our last !
The location is stunning, very quiet and peaceful. The cottages are lovely and have everything you need for a short stay. Sarah is friendly and welcoming and the treatments are fabulous !
Although the spa area is on the small side I think this makes it a better experience as it feels cosy and warm !
We had a lovely fish pie made fresh and brought to our cottage one night, the other night we walked 5 mins to the amazing Black Venus Inn, food is amazing and staff very welcoming.
The spa and the cottages were very clean and use of the spa is available throughout most of the stay, it is locked at about 7pm which is not a problem.
Great stay, can't wait to go again !

Three of us stayed in the 'Stables' house at the Farmhouse spa. The accomodation was great, very clean and cosy, with alll the utensils you need for your stay. The spa itself consisted of a warm jacuzzi/swimming pool, a large waterfall shower and a steam room. Although small, it's a good size and never felt crowded, even when sharing with another group. We enjoyed one beauty treatment each and felt very relaxed afterwards. We had a lasagne prepared and brought to our cottage on the Saturday evening, along with garlic bread and a fresh salad. There was loads of it and was of high home made quality. The Spa is in the middle of nowhere, so perfect to get away from it all and enjoy the Devon countryside. However, there is a good pub a 5 minute walk away called The Black Venus that offered good food and cider. All in all a great weekend.

Myself and two friends were looking to get away for the weekend and came across the Farmhouse Spa whilst searching for spa weekend deals in the south-west of England. We opted for the package which included two nights accommodation, a spa treatment of choice (very relaxing) and one home-cooked meal of choice which was lovely. The property was clean, warm and well-equipped, and the owner was very welcoming.
During the days and the Friday evening, we ate at the local pub (The Black Venus) which is no more than a 5 minute walk away in the local village and has an excellent menu with high standards. There are also various walking paths nearby with fantastic views of Exmoor if you fancy a bit of fresh air.
The spa itself was quite small but considering the amount we paid to stay there, it was great value for money and far exceeded our expectations. Having said this, there were other visitors using the spa but it never felt over-crowded or as if we were getting in each other's way.

Overall, we had a great time and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Just a shame we couldn't have stayed longer!

We stayed as a group of seven using two of the properties. We had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. The property was clean and well-equipped.

We opted for a weekend break, taking our own food for one evening and venturing out to the local pub on the second.

All that we needed for breakfast was left in the cottages.

Treatments were as described and very relaxing/therapeutic. Would thoroughly recommend.

We particularly liked the fact that it is a small venue and the informality. Also, having our own space to 'chill out'.
