“Feeling at home”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

We have been here for 4 nights and our stay was perfect - right from the beginning we felt at home - we felt that our hosts cared about us and they always have been there for our questions and wishes.

Needed to stay overnight in the area, and found this guest house to provide all our needs. We were very happy with the accommodation and the owners were very welcoming. The breakfast area is a beautiful room with lovely views of the mountains and the sea.

A lovely guesthouse, good location, gracious and welcoming hosts, fantastic English breakfast, comfortable rooms, great value for money and a wonderful Anatolian sheepdog! We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here recently with my boyfriend - we had such a lovely stay and wish we could have stayed longer! Chris, Jim and Joy are very friendly&helpful, giving tips on things to do around Gordon's Bay and in Cape Town. The rooms are basic but have everything you need and they are a good size. You have your own private balcony area and you have your own entrance so you never have to disturb other guests! Breakfast is yummy - you can have cold breakfast or they will make you a cooked breakfast. The pool area is lovely after a long day sightseeing. Gordon's bay is a really nice area - we definitely hope to come back here in the future!! You have to visit the Thirsty Oyster (which they will recommend!) - friendly staff&tasty food! Thanks for a great stay :) Natalie&Jonny

It was the first time that we staid in Gordon ' s Bay. The Guesthouse was not very modern and needed some renovation. But the management was very friendly and very british. Gordon's Bay itself had not so much to offer and wewere so unfortunate that it was very windy, and could not sit on the beach.

Chris, Jim and Joy are wonderful hosts, from the moment we arrived they really made us feel at home!!!!!
We booked 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer.
The room was cosy and very spacious, we even had our own separate little entrance which is great if you're coming back late and do not want to disturb.
The house is very big and airy with a great little swimming pool to chill out in after a hot day, they will also switch on the jacuzzi if you let them know in advance, a great thing if you want to chill out with a beer or glass of crispy wine!!!!!!
The breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared every morning, you can gave the cold buffet with a selection of fresh cheeses, fruit and yogurts, or you can go for the full english (highly recommended) with yummy bacon!!!!!
They have a wonderful Anatolian shepard called Winston, we quickly made friends with him and were very sad to say goodby!!!!
If your looking for a warm and friendly
place look no further. Easy to access with a car, great for Stellenbosh and Franschoek, Chris, Jim and Joy will be more than happy to help you with anything you'll need during your stay!!!!
Will most definitely be back next year.
Debbie and Ale, Italy!

I've stayed in my guest houses and hotels (Africa, UK and Europe), this guest house is the only place I will consider staying at in Gordons Bay. Chris & Jim are incredible hosts. We stayed in sea facing room and they offered my son his own room at no extra cost! The English breakfast was fantastic. The view from the patio gave one a sense of tranquillity. The house is situated in a beautiful neighbourhood. A great place to base yourself if you want to adventure into Capetown and more importantly the WINE ROUTE!
Only regret was that we could not stay longer BUT we are looking forward a visit in the future.

Room Tip: Seaview suite.
