Sue made our stay perfect at Denhead Steading B & B. Flying in from the USA we were greeted with friendship from the moment we stepped indoors. This stop over was spacious, spotless and surpassed our expectations, we had every comfort of home. We booked the entire upper floor and was 100% pleased with our lodgings. Sleeping areas and common visiting area was just what the doctor ordered. The food, full English breakfast was superb and visiting with Phil & Sue was the highlight of our last night. Sue went out of her way to order & travel to a local down to fetch a birthday cake for my husband who turned 73 during our stay. The five of us will remember fondly our three day stay at DS. Thanks to both Sue & Phil for sharing their home with us!! ;-)

Room Tip: This B & B is long way to get to but you will be glad you took the time to find your way!!

We spent a very comfortable night here. Our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. They went out of their way to cater for our needs and made a reservation for us for an evening meal at a nearby hotel. Breakfast was superb - including sausages made with meat from their own pigs! The room was spotless and there were plenty of towels and even a couple of cosy robes. We would certainly stay there again and recommend you try it too!
It is, perhaps, worth mentioning the booking I tried to make through 'Private House Stays' was not passed on to the owners so I contacted them directly and this was successful.

It's been some years since I stayed at Denhead Steading but this delightful B&B is as welcoming as ever. The rooms have been appointed with much care and thought, and the hearty breakfast was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended!

From beginning to end, we had a lovely stay at Denhead Steading and couldn't have asked for more. When we arrived, we were offered coffee. I wasn't sure as it was quite late for caffeine, but decaff was promptly offered and beautifully presented with biscuits and fruit, in front of a roaring fire and comfy seats in the sitting room. The stereo had a lovely selection of relaxing celtic music, just perfect for relaxing in front of the fire to. The bedroom was beautiful and the large bath luxurious. Breakfast was served in the conservatory with a beautiful view and quality food. When our hosts heard it was 'Christmas' for us, we received crackers and a small bottle of port. A really touching gesture which was above and beyond. Definitely a B&B to recommend. Our only downside was that nearby restaurants were closed on Mondays! Sue (host) did call round a few for us. But a drive to Inverurie was sufficient to find a selection of eateries open.

We booked two rooms at Denhead Steading, and we not disappointed !! Quite possibly the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in !! When we arrived in the evening we were kindly given fresh pots of tea and coffee with lovely shortbread served in the relaxing lounge in front of a gorgeous fire and accompanied with some great Scottish music on the cd player - a fabulous all round welcome.
Our bedrooms were extremely well appointed, very comfortable beds, ensuite bathrooms with a very powerful and hot shower.
In the morning we were treated to a superb breakfast, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, and then a cooked breakfast with each of us able to choose what we wanted. Sue, the owner, really did everything possible to make us welcome. The only sad part was being able to stay for a single night only on this occasion.
