was booked in for one night and a week before we travelled I asked the location and was told to get off at Old Trafford , walk down Brian Statham way , turn right at traffic lights. On the day,we did this and after ten mins rang the hotel as no one other than passing cars to ask. The male who answered the phone retorted with I don't know , Ive only worked here for a few weeks and haven't got a clue on the local area. I explained we were booked in and could we ask to speak to someone who could direct us. The male started shouting down the phone. Needless to say we got nowhere and saw a gentleman walking towards us. we asked him and he said yes we were on the right side of the road, however it was another miles walk :( . we rang back and said we would like to talk to the manager and have a refund as the staffs customer services were appalling...we were told she would be an hour. we went and had a coffee somewhere and arrived at the hotel an hour later only to be told the manager wont be back til three. the male staff was again rude and abrupt however as he had a growing audience he rang Caren Clancy manage and she authorised him to repay us. Do think the staff need people skills and NVQ training in hotel leisure and customer services.

great location and value for money but unfortunately our room really smelt of damp. we did not complain but im sure if we did the staff who were very friendly would have moved us. as we were only staying for one night we did not bother.

We stayed here for 1 night on 12th September as we had a gig at the Manchester 02 Apollo.
We paid £29 for the night for 2 people (bargain)
After reading some of the reviews we were a little bit weary about staying here. Needn't had worried at all. The hotel islovely, massive rooms, clean rooms and friendly staff. I guess that's all you want after paying such a good price. The room has, a big bath/shower, trouser press, kettle(with tea, milk, coffee, hot choc etc) We didn't have breakfast here. There is a bar which is presume is open late as we returned at 11.30 and still pretty full. There is a free carpark on site but make sure you tell reception your Parked here other wise you will get ticketed.
If you are using this hotel for a stay for the Apollo we drove and it's about a 10 minutes drive away, alternately the tram line is 30second walk from the hotel or taxi.
We would stay here again

This hotel is clean, cheap and only a mile walk from the cricket and football ground.
The breakfast was continental with a massive range of things to choose from and this was included in the price.
The atmosphere with all the cricket fans staying there was fantastic...I would definitely go again!

Good place to meet before United matches, staff welcomming, decent ale, and free sarnies. Karen and her team do a great job for the fans. Good pre match atmosphere, and Levi in the car park is good for a laugh
