This inconspicuous little steakhouse on Ayres Road in Old Trafford is a gem of a find. Heard from many friends before that they serve one of the best steaks in town and boy they weren't wrong. I wouldn't even call it a restaurant, it's like a small cafe smack in the middle of a row of houses on Ayres Road, next to a grocery store. Don't let the small size of this place fool you for the food is incredible. The best way I can describe it is it's like "Man Vs Food" on TV coming to life. The portions are big, the food indulgent, and the service prompt and friendly. They even have a burger challenge for those with a big appetite, but be warned, if you fail to finish the meal, the meal will cost you 30 pounds! If you do succeed (the owner tells me there's only been 1 person so far who's managed this), your picture will go on the hall of fame along with a free Braai tshirt. If you are expecting a fine dining experience/proper restaurant, forget it for this is not what it sets out to be. But if you are looking for that small cafe that are only known among the locals which serve indulgent steaks and finger-licking-good gravy+coleslaw+mash, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended.
p/s: One thing to note however, if you go on their website it says the place is on South King Street, but this is misleading. There is another Braai on South King Street apparently which is a copy, but the original Braai Steakhouse is the one on Ayres Road at Old Trafford. Address as per the one on Trip Advisor.
