“Nice rooms, good restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 November 2013

We spent a night at the hotel, beeing among the very fwe guests at this time of the year. The place was very quiet, the rooms were small but nicely furnished, clean and well kept, the breakfast was enjoyable.
In the evening we had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel downstairs, which was quite good either.
In the high season thinngs might be different; but for automn travellers this is a nice place for an overnight stay.

On our way to Agrigento, we stopped and had a great lunch. All our family enjoyed fresh food well cooked. i would go back for the food. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and fresh.
Very pleasant staff and surroundings.

The rooms are above the restaurant. As the building is a concrete structure, noise propagates from below with quite some intensity. Other guests entering can also be heard in great detail. The a/c wasn't functioning so with the balcony doors open you get it from the kids and cars in the street and the local dogs as well. So bring your ear plugs.
The staff are friendly and probably helpful but don't appear to be too focused on non-local guests and you almost feel like you're intruding on the local rhythm of life (which looks great though).
Breakfast, in particular the coffee leaves much to be desired.
A bit far from the centre of town but there doesn't seem to be much choice.

We stayed here on a cycling trip across Sicily. Strangely, all the other guests were also cyclists, perhaps because the hotel has secure parking for bikes. It was early May and the hotel was not full. The hotel was difficult to find from the town centre. It was basic and devoid of any charm, but clean and quiet. We paid €55 per room, single occupancy.

The Hotel is really fine: it's clean, roomy and comfortable. The staff is there when you need something and the boss is a nice and funny guy. I'm not sure about the fresco painted on a room's wall (see picture!). Apart from the cakes, breakfast is a bit desappointing: instant coffee, synthectic fruit juice but the boss will be happy to serve an espresso at the restaurant's bar if you mention it. My girlfriend and I tried to walk into Corleone but you should avoid it, there's no place for pedestrians, and hardly enough for cars that won't let you breathe or walk more than 2 steps in a row. No need to tell anything about the Godfather or any mafia stuff, it's just a touristic pretext. The people from Corleone are nice though they seem... a bit weird... like they were lacking genetic mixing somehow, at first glance anyway... Sorry if i'm beeing rude here!
If you have the chance to drive, prefer the landscapes around Corleone that are truely amazing, especially the cliffs on the South side (along the SS188c).
If you go to Palermo, don't take the SP4 to San Cipirello that has slided with the ground 10m underneath at ±km 20 with no warning! The alternative path will take you ages! So prefer the SS118 from Corleone. The Viadotto is an interseting experience too...

This hotel is located by the main road into Corleone from Palermo, but a 10-15 minutes walk from the main square and the old town, which is where you'll want to be. (Be aware of the cars, both the ones parked on all the sidewalks and the ones in the streets - be prepared to press up against a wall at any time to let the pass - even if you are on the sidewalk.) The reception and restaurant is on the lower floor, while you have to go out, around the corner and up a hill for the entrance to the rooms and the tiny breakfast room. They only have seven rooms, and ours were all right - spacious with a balcony and a big bath. Almost no one of the staff spoke English, I could not find anyone to ask about the promised free wi-fi, which I could not detect. The food at the restaurant was very good, even if we had to put up with a bunch of wild screaming children running around the table. The restaurant is frequently used for all kinds of parties - wedding receptions, anniversaries, childrens parties etc, which tend to occupy most of the indoors area.

After much hunting we finally found this hotel. It is in the middle of the intersection of three streets. The reception, registration and restaurant are on the left side of the hotel, then you have to go outside, around and up a hill to get to the door where the rooms are located on the other side of the building. We didn't have a reservation, but three of their seven rooms were available. We were given a choice of a room with 2 single beds with no view of the valley for 65 euros, or a double bed with a view for 70 euros. We opted for the room with the view, but the building directly across the street blocked most of the view. The cheaper room was right next door.
Instead of having numbers, every room is named after a god or goddess. We stayed in the Zeus room and the head of Zeus was painted on the wall.
This hotel is right across the street from a farm where a dog barked on and off all day and night, a peacock screamed upon our arrival, and a rooster started crowing at the crack of dawn.
We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was just average. I ordered the giant shrimp cocktail and a plate with small to medium sized shrimp covered in a thick sauce made from ketchup and mayonnaise covering everything was set before me. The roasted vegetable platter was mostly good. We ordered the house white wine and it came in a small pitcher. We didn't finish it. We noticed the two young men sitting at the next table ordered a bottle of the house red and they didn't finish drinking theirs, either. Unfortunately, it's very hard to find a sit-down restaurant in most Sicilian villages, so there isn't much choice.
