Reviews are always high.Usually compared with Disneyland. But it's no sense... Entrance fee is cheaper. Quality is proportional. If you had 6+ years old child or you are, there might be heaven :-) too many obstacle courses and slider, Art Museum, touch in Sheep, Pony and small animals.... You can enjoy everything less than 1000 yen / adult and 200 yen / child. You should bring a lunch box. You can buy something to eat but quality is not good (especially, volume is not enough for foreigner, I guess.)

Beautiful park with lots of things for kids to play, easy to see around in wheel chairs. After easily park the car, I requested a wheelchair for an elderly and they had a couple of nice wheelchairs readily available by just giving my name and phone number. Everything was smooth and hassle free speaking in Japanese but an easy English might work as Japanese people is always super polite and helpful.
Put a blanket to keep the cold air away and it was a nice and smooth wheel chair ride! Elderly also loves see the kids playing, this park is paradise for the little ones so it's nice for everyone in all ages. Some food stalls and plenty area for pic-nic.

What a great fun park this was. It was a week day so not crowded at all. The activity areas are so much fun to climb and interact on for any age. My 29 year old son lives in Japan and bought an annual pass after our visit. The activity areas are different grades of difficulty they have a fun grass downhill run.
Animal petting area water play areas for toddlers in summer and eaterys and of course beautiful gardens do not miss this park. Really only able to get there by car or bus.

Hidden away in Funabashi (Chiba Prefecture) is Andersen Park, a fun family theme park dedicated, for some reason, to Danish children's author Hans Christian Andersen. If you live in or near Funabashi, and if you have young kids, not taking them here should be considered child abuse.

The park has various facilities, including:
o a petting zoo
o lots of cool rope gyms and other stuff to climb
o huge slides including a 50 meter one, that are super fun even for grownups
o a big, open area wading and splashing pool that has interesting hydraulic exhibits for the kids to play with
o pony rides
o a bouncy structure hilariously called Naughtiness Ball Island
o a replica Danish windmill
o a replica Danish farmhouse
o children's museum
o decorative fountain
o lots of greenery and open lawn space
o natural water features with a boathouse where you can rent boats
o pretty decent food (and even beer) at prices that are not outrageous

The park is a bit remote and is best accessed by car, although public transportation is possible. There is ample parking, and ¥500 covers the whole day. Admission is ¥900 for parents, ¥200 for schoolkids, and ¥100 for infants. Although I cannot recall the actual price, a one-year pass is really cheap, paying for itself after just a few visits.

Bring your day tent for your kids to change into and out of swimwear, and also for their naps because they're gonna wear themselves out playing, climbing, bouncing, splashing, and generally running amok and having a great time.

The only drawback that I can think of is that Andersen Park can become uncomfortably crowded, to the point that you may need to get there at opening time to get space for your tent. Ever since a spate of TV ads aired a couple years ago, family have really been turning out on holidays and summer break. But if you can time your visit right -- especially if you can go on a weekday -- you and your kids will have a really fun time!
