We celebrated our marriage at Jinya in 2016. We were in total ca. 45 guests. Most of the guest stayed overnight. Me and my wife live in Northern Europe and had to plan everything online. We wanted a garden gathering, a good meal with speaches etc., followed by spa and celebration.

As we had booked everything online, we were nervous about how Jinya-inn looked like in real life. We were not disappointed. Rather, Jinya-inn is even more beatiful in real life than on pictures. It truly feels like walking into a fairytale when entering the gardens. The facilities and rooms are also very beautiful. The bridal manager and his staff was very professional and made sure the wedding administration (most done over email) was flawless and that our guest (incl. non-Japanese guest) had a magnificent time. In line with the rest, the food was also fantastic.

All in all, a great place, which we highly recommend for either wedding celebrations (planned overseas or locally) or a regular visit. Thank you Jinya for making our day special. Best regards from Northern Europe.

We stayed two nights at the Jinya, and it was a great experience at a traditional Japanese Inn.
It is very conveniently located a few steps off of the Tsurimaki-onsen stop on the Odakuya line, however it is a remote town so there are no other food or entertainment options besides the relaxing (and pricey) Jinya.

I was traveling with my friend who is a vegan, and since we gave them a heads up about her dietary needs before our arrival, they were very accommodating. The first night, we opted not to have the elaborate dinner that costs 12,000 yen per person and instead went a la carte for 5,000 yen per person. The meal was still a multi-course event and more than enough food. My friend’s vegan meal was fantastic as well. Breakfast was included in our stay, and this was also an elaborate, multi-course affair. The second breakfast I opted to have a vegan meal as well and it was one of the top meals I’ve had in Japan.

The room we stayed in was very spacious and had a private in-room bathroom and onsen. Very, very relaxing after all of our busy travels through Japan. The staff spoke some English, but enough for us to communicate effectively. They were all very attentive and helpful.

Overall, the Jinya was an incredible experience and I would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a change of pace for a night or two.

Room tip: A room with a private onsen is unbeatable!

Such a beautiful and peaceful place to experience Japan in the traditional way. The dinner was a poem and the breakfast a beautiful experience. The thermal waters are so nice and relaxing. The staff could´t be more helpful even if they don´t speak much English or any other foreign language, they are so kind and find their ways to pamper you so much. You won´t retreat to stay there

A lovely place to stay to experience traditional Japanese hospitality. We had a spacious tatami room with private hot tub and was more than adequate for three adults.
Dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented and of a very high standard.
Jinya is about 45 minutes from Tokyo and about an hour from Hakone, to be recommended.

Jinya is one of my favorite ryokans, traditional Japan-style hotel. It's near the center of Tokyo.
Dishes are beautiful and delicious.
If you go to Jinya, you will enjoy Washoku!
Hot spring is wonderful and their hospitality is amazing. I experienced the extraordinary while I stayed there.
Please try and go there sometimes.
