“Perfect Holiday Cottage”
Reviewed 18 November 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This is a wonderful house that has everything you could wish for. Fully equipped, fabulous views over Skye and the loch and close to local amenities.
Internet access was good and fast.
We enjoyed several visits to Skye and the trip to Applecross was awesome. It is a good base for touring.. Plenty of good takeaways and restaurants close by.
Lovely garden, we enjoyed the daily visits by the Pine Martin and we also saw deer in the field behind the house. The owners Tim & Lily are very nice and helpful.
The only downside for us was the steep access lane, no problem for cars but some of us were on motorcycles.
However, alternative parking was available at the bottom of the slope.

Well you caught a very un-seasonal spell of weather for the wedding, the tale end of Hurricane Bertha and if we could have done anything about it, we would...
So Glad you enjoyed your stay, Best Wishes for your Future together,

“A PIECE OF HEAVEN”
Reviewed 16 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Dear Tim and Lilly, a heartfelt thank you for your wonderful hospitality and beautiful home. We had a wonderful time. Just sorry we did not see the calf being born!!!! Hope all went well. We also so enjoyed playing with Roxy, she is adorable. There was so much to see and do that we needed at least another week. Walking in the beautiful Kyle of Lochalsh woodlands, going to Skye, Eileen Donan castle. Applecross, Plockton but to name a few interesting places!!! Hopefully we will be able to return next year. Kindest regards Antoinette, Craig and family

Abriachan is spacious but cosy, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The owners live conveniently nearby and are very nice but unobtrusive. The only other neighbour of note is the pine marten, a peanut butter junkie, whose early evening itinerary includes checking the kitchen window ledge for tidbits. The views are splendid, and there is a pleasant garden to enjoy them from, weather permitting. A great base for exploring the area by foot or on wheels. Don't bring food, the local grub is excellent, even from the supermarket.
Very good value for money.

“Absolutely Amazing Family Holiday”

We have just returned from our two week summer holidays and can't wait to go back. I stayed here with my husband, three young kids and my parents and we all fully enjoyed our stay. The house and garden are very well maintained and spacious and there's plenty to keep the children busy. They enjoyed playing in the garden either with their toys or with Roxy, Tim and Lilly's dog.The views from the garden and the conservatory are second to none and there is plenty of wild life to be seen. We especially enjoyed bird watching from the conservatory or watching roe deer grazing in the back field and preparing food (peanut butter and jam sandwiches) to leave out for the pine martin who regularly visits in the evening time.
Abriachan is also an ideal base for visiting the Isle of Skye and Applecross with its lovely beaches. Kyle of Lochalsh, Duirinish and Plockton are also well worth exploring. Callum's Seal trips are a must.
We even managed to fit in the Jacobite Train Trip from Fort William to Mallaig.
We will definitely be back.
