“Thank you Murdo !”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

Murdo is really the most amazing host.

Apart from the delicious freshly cooked breakfast, Murdo provided a wealth of information on local activity and nothing was too much trouble. When I injured my foot in a hillwalking accident, Murdo provided ice packs and pain killers. He even sent a pair of pants and socks by post to my home that I had inadvertently left !

Thank you Murdo my family and I really appreciated your efforts to make us welcome.

Room Tip: In respect for value for money, you won't beat this !

We stayed for three nights and found the room very clean and comfortable. Easy parking great breakfast excellent views. Mary Ann & Murdo went out of their way to help us giving advice and information on local attractions and area. I wish we could have stayed longer in such a lovely part of the world with these lovely people ! ! !

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. Murdo and Mary Ann are the perfect hosts and this lovely b&b is so homely. My husband was heading up to Stornoway for work and we chose Tigh a Cladach as it wasn't too far from the ferry terminal in Uig and it, quite rightly, gets such amazing reviews.

We explored the surrounding area during the days, ate out at The Plockton Inn which does lovely seafood and spent the rest of our 2 evenings in the lounge with Murdo and Mary Ann chatting away. Mary Ann and Murdo were full of so much information about Stornoway and gave my husband a map and lots of advice on the area away with him, which we really appreciated.

The breakfast is gorgeous and my husband especially enjoyed the smoked haddock and poached egg. I highly recommend the Tigh a Cladach and we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Mary Anne and Murdo are really friendly folks. They are excellent hosts!
Our room was clean and had a beautiful view. We fell in love with their garden and the view on the rocks and the seals...
The breakfast was excellent! And the bed was really really comfortable! The best bed in U.K.!
We hope coming back one day...

Highly recommend this B&B both for the marvellous sea views and the excellent hosts.
Easy access to Kyle, Plockton and Skye. Our room was spotless and the breakfast super plus there is easy parking, what more could you want?

Room Tip: Not all the rooms face out to sea but most do.

From the minute we arrived at Tigh a Cladach we were made to feel completely at home by Mary Ann and Murdo. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed very comfortable and we had a wonderful view. The guest lounge was a welcome addition where Murdo provided a few pairs of binoculars so guests could look out at the seals playing on the rocks beyond. We stayed for 3 nights so enjoyed 3 fantastic breakfasts (the haddock was lovely). The next time we go to Kyle we wouldn't think of staying anywhere other than at Tigh a Cladach so we can enjoy Mary Ann and Murdo's hospitality again.

Room Tip: West facing rooms have the best views
