We loved our first trip so much we made a point of doing it again this trip! If you enjoy doing something special rather than doing it easy then this is for you. The views to and from the ferry cannot be beat. Riding on the last turntable ferry in Scotland is something you will always remember. Super nice and efficient people running it. Truly, truly an unforgettable experience.

It is worth a visit solely for the ferry and supporting the work done to keep it going. Also the lovely journey on either side, on single track roads, is beautiful and worth a drive. And once there we were able to watch seals hunting. Fabulous and a real highlight.

A fantastic service, the last remaining turntable ferry in the world. We made a last minute decision to take this ferry rather than use the bigger ferry out of Malliag and don't regret the decision at all. The crossing is so much nicer, it was quick with very little wait time and the fare was much more reasonable. If you're a fan of wildlife then this is the crossing for you. The drive down to and back up from the ferry is, lets say interesting to say the least. The road is narrow (single track with passing places) and has lots of steep inclines and declines but for us it added to the fun of the crossing.
