“Authentic aussie farm experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2014

We had an excellent trail ride at Gumnuts Farm. The pace was leisurely and perfect for beginners. The bush scenery was great and we had a relaxing day out in the bush. The facilities were "authentic aussie farm" and the animals seemed calm and well cared for. The damper and tea was a nice and unexpected touch. Our two Japanese guides were friendly and helpful, taking much care to instruct our 7yr old daughter in correct horse handling. The overall experience was great and exactly what we were expecting. Would definitely recommend this experience.

“Not great but cheap”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014 via mobile

Very run down could barely understand instructions because of heavy accents from staff. But it was a cheap groupon & my 12 yr old daughter was happy to try horse riding.

“Fun horse riding with friendly staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

We bought a Groupon for our 13 yr old girls and a 10 year old Japanese student. We were worried about the language barrier for ur student, but the staff are mainly Japanese, so the experience for our student was fantastic. Oneof my daughters rides regularly and thought the ride was great, challenging at parts and fun when they were able to giddy-up a bit. we really enjoyed milking the cow and learning to throw a boomerang, crack a whip and feed the baby goats. The countryside is beautiful and staff were so very friendly and happy. The horses were all cared for as far as we could see and were all covered up for the coming cool winter night. The horses may be old (I could not be sure - I am no expert) but were not being treated badly, and seemed in fine health. All the riders were very happy to have compliant horses, especially as there were younger children riding.
I would not endorse anywhere where I thought any animal cruelty was happening!
The small afternoon tea was a welcome surprise. My husband and I sat and waited for the riders and were given a lovely tray of hot water, tea, coffee and milk by the staff, without any prompting.

“Fun Horse Riding Half-day Trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

We had a great time for the half-day Horse Riding and Animal Adventure including horse riding, cow milking, animal feeding, etc.

As we have a kid, we asked many questions before we booked the tour, and the staff on the phone was very patient and friendly.

The staff who accompanied us during the horse riding was caring and very helpful as well.
I think we will book again.

“Poor Horses”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

Sad to see such old poorly cared for horses being worked.
Farm animals tied up to fences.
Never to return.
