“Relaxation, homely and hospitality +++”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

Robyn and John were extremely hospitable during our stay this year, we travelled for a wedding at the nearby Albert river winery (approx 15mins away) and our accommodation was fantastic!
They were friendly and available without being intrusive to our stay in any way at all. Everything supplied dinners cooked (as part of room deal) plus the little extras made all the difference. The surroundings are very picturesque and abundant with wallabies, greenery and birdlife. The rooms are large and spacious and a kitchenette is great for cooking breakfast which is supplied with the deal we purchased. I highly recommend the locally supplied yoghurt and homemade muesli! It's lovely and quiet at night and the bedding is very comfortable with a selection of pillows (we didn't need this as we travelled with our own but it's good to know its there if needed).
There is also a very inviting BBQ area, pool and spa which we didn't get a chance to try but will definitely stay again!

We only stayed one night. One wonderful night and beautiful morning. How thrilling! So much to comment on. I truly enjoyed every moment, and felt completely pampered and relaxed just by being there. Robyn is a marvelous host, so warm and informed. She is an asset to the community by promoting the local growers and artists right on her property. I even bought a wonderful chicken figurine for my niece, which she loved.
The views are spectacular, stretching so far, yet so much to see up close. We were in the Mahogany Suite, which had some beautiful wooden pieces of furniture. On arrival we had the fresh baked multi grain loaf wafting its fragrance through the unit. A lovely touch is the bear on the bed. Big bathroom with lovely supplies. The breakfast was so ample - the yoghurt the best I have ever had. The chooks provided such fresh free range eggs, I thanked them in person.
We took a trip out to Binna Burra from here. Lovely drive. I wanted to see Pademelons up there, and we did see one, but all the wallabies at Wallaby Ridge Retreat were wonderful to look at.
I would go back there in a heartbeat, and recommend it to anyone who wants some serenity and nature. GREAT value!

Room Tip: We chose Mahogany Suite.

Robyn and John were the perfect hosts for our weekend away. We enjoyed wonderful food and got involved with the wallaby feeding. Our breakfast hamper was to die for! Freshly baked bread and delicious homemade granola were my favourites.
Wallaby ridge is set in an incredible location that we made full use of; visiting wineries, Lamington national park and Tambourine mountains.
It really was the perfect weekend away. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and idyllic escape.

We had a wonderful relaxing 5 days at Wallaby Ridge Resort. It has great views and the accommodation is very comfortable with its own cooking facilities. It was lovely sitting on the deck late in the day watching the sunset with wallabies in the lower paddock or in the garden. Each day, Robyn provided a basket that included bacon, sausages, eggs, juice, cereal, bread, milk, etc. There was a great range of reading material.
Robyn and John were very obliging but non intrusive intrusive hosts.
It is well located for trips to Tamborine Mountain, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Lamington National Park, Beaudesert, etc. There are also some excellent restaurants nearby.
We are hoping to get back in the warmer weather so that we can enjoy the pool and spa

My partner and I decided to stay one night in Wallaby Ridge Retreat after spending a day walking in the Lamington National Park and the area.

It was a last minute stay, and a last minute booking.

Once the room was booked, the GPS in the car and on the Iphone sent us in the wrong direction. And I must say, it was not that easy to find at night time. But we made it in the end!

Anyway, when we first arrived, Robyn (the owner) greeted us with a warm welcome.

Her place is lovely, clean, well decorated, welcoming and warm. Quiet and peaceful.
The bedroom was well decorated.
Our bathroom was clean.
The kitchen in the bedroom was very well equipped.

The night was nice and quiet with a comfy mattress.

Views in the morning from our bedroom were stunning.

The breakfast was a feast with Sausages, Bacon, eggs, homemade cereals, bread, homemade jams, butter, fresh juice, tea and coffee.

We had a good chat with Robyn before we left. She was lovely and recommended us a couple of extra walk in the area. (We went there Robyn! Thanks for the Banana Muffins! It was soooo good!)

I can recommend this place and we will be back when visiting this area again.

Room Tip: If you expect to have something for dinner while you stay there, make sure to let Robyn know about t...

Thanks for the wonderful stay. Work has been full on for some time and we just needed to chill someplace that was quiet and refreshing. Facilities are first class (especially the spa!). We would recommended Wallaby Ridge to anyone. Thanks Bill & Jude

Just 25 mins from the Gold Coast. This retreat has 3-4 rooms attached to the owner's home but each one is self-contained so you can feel as private as you want (and you can cook).
This place is a real oasis with wallabies around every dawn and dusk and spectacular sunset views. It's off the beaten track about 15 mins from Cunungra, which is such a pretty little town, and very close Mt Tambourine which has a great art/cafe strip and lovely cheese. It's also a reasonably easy car ride to bush walks in Lamington and Springbrook Nat parks.
It's excellent value for money with a yummy breakfast including great home made jams and the best yoghurt I've had in my life! It's clean, better decorated than the photos on the website show and our bed was really comfy. Nothing was too much trouble for Robyn (the owner).
The outdoor spa with the sunset view was the real draw card for me. I wish I owned the place.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone (and I'm reasonably picky).

Thank you for your kind words. It can be difficult to be all things to all people as comments on Trip Advisor show, but its great we ticked all the boxes and you enjoyed your stay. I love the picture of "Ping" you have taken, her big sister Olly has a little baby now hopping about the house entertaining the guests with her antics! Our wildlife is very precious to us and we love sharing this experience with our guests. We hope to see you again some day.
