We booked a Slope Side Condo and found it odd that check in time was 4pm. Arriving with grandkids at 4:05PM we were told the unit was not ready yet and could we wait a few minutes! We went to the outdoor area and it was not until 5 Pm I got called the Condo was ready. The reception was fairly cordial but made no attempt to apologize until I complained we had young chidlren etc. She finally said she would comp us something. On check out there was no record and we were almost brushed of until a second person agreed to a 10% discount on the first night. Condo was terrific in every aspect and I liked the remote location away from the Village hustle and bustle that was only a 10 minute walk away. The Inn not so much greetings few and far between if at all for a vacation spot? Pool had a limit of 10 people in total I have had more people at backyard pools? This was my second trip to the Inn and not sure specifically but mangement have a problem that needs assessed " Customers come first not the company!

Room Tip: Slope Side was very nice 108 I believe it was. Well equipped and very clean in deed Kudos here

Dear Terry3515,

I’m very sorry to hear we missed our goal of a prompt check in and understand how this would be a poor start to your getaway. With a departure time of 11am and guests that leave beyond that time without prior warning, we have at best 4-5 hours to clean and prepare our days arrivals. This should be ample time unless there are unforeseen circumstances that prevent access to specific units by our cleaning staff. I’m disappointed to see that our front office staff did not acknowledge the delay in room readiness and that you had to make mention of this before it was addressed, we will be sure to address this matter with our staff in this area for future guest interactions. I am however pleased to note that one of the staff on duty was able to recognize the inconvenience and amended by extending a discount to you. The slope side units are very popular, winter and summer, we don’t have a large inventory at this location but it is in a desirable spot for access to the Village and slopes.

We can assure you that our customers do come first and only regret that the actions of one have created an impression of business first; this is definitely not the case. Just view some of our other Trip Advisor guest comments; our staff and the service they render is generally very positively highlighted.

Stayed over for one night. Staff were very courteous, helpful and friendly. Nice clean room and amenities. Hotel had an indoor pool but also access to Blue Mountain's own private beach. Hotel had a shuttle that took guests over regularly. Hotel is very close to the village with lots of activities close by. Nice walk to the quaint village with beautiful view.

Stayed here for four nights at the end of July. Pleasantly surprised. We stayed in the Mosiac builing which is one of the newer buildings right in the village. Room had a kitchen combined living room, large bedroom and big bathroom. There was a balcony which was nice but it would have been nice to have had a balcony that overlooked the village. The mosiac building had its own pool, hottub , sauna and access to an outdoor area with barbecue's. we were there on the "Elvis festival weekend" so they had entertainment in the eviening, There are many restaurants and little shops in the village- some of the bars have late night entertainmeent if you are interested in that.
The resort also offers (for a fee) mini put, walking paths, segways, childrens waterpark, ridge runner rides and several other things. We loved the village atmosphere. Would definitely return to this facility. We paid over $900 for the four nights. My only complaint is that there was a $8.95 per day charge for the internet - i do feel that should be included in the room fee - just felt like it was a bit of gouging of the customers and should be included in the room price as most hotels these days charge a lot less for for their nightly rate and include wi-fi for free.

Room Tip: request a room with a balcony that faces the village

Dear Carolyn155016,

We are very glad you enjoyed the Mosaic hotel and the hustle and bustle of the Village; it is a lively place with so much for all ages to enjoy. The Elvis weekend is definitely a very popular one and one that has a high demand for balconies over the Village Square, for ease of viewing the ongoing performances; sorry we were unable to provide you with a balcony on this occasion.

We are very happy to hear you will be back and will look forward to seeing you again soon.

Kindest Regards,

Stayed at the blue mountain inn for two nights. Checkin and check out went smoothly. Lots to do in the village, which is only a five minute walk. Nice swimming pool and the hot tub area was nice outside with chair and lounges. Had breakfast at the pottery, the food was fresh and hot. The server we had the first morning was the same the next day and remembered all of our drink orders, which was very nice and made us feel special. Only downside was the shuttle to the "so-called" private beach. The shuttle ride to and from was awful, loud, noisy and uncomfortable. The beach was awful, the water was ankle deep for miles the sand was coarse and there were no ammenities. The pool is a much better option.

Room Tip: The activities package is worth it.

Dear M W,

Thanks for this glowing review of our property, we are so happy you enjoyed the hotel and facilities; it is very convenient to the Village as well. The Pottery Restaurant focuses on fresh and local, chef is very creative and his team is outstanding. The servers are all great, we will be sure to share your comments with the serving team; we consistently get very nice feedback on this group of individuals.

We regret that the beach came as a disappointment, it is typical of this area, very shallow for a long distance, great if you have little ones, but if you are looking for some deep water swimming, not ideal. We do offer canoe/kayak and paddle boat rentals at the beach, beach chairs if you just want to lounge and activities for the children as well.

Thanks again for your kind and valuable feedback, we hope you will have a chance to visit us again.

Stayed 2 nights during the peak and beginning of summer vacation. The room was presentably clean, however, I wish the windows or sliding doors were not sealed. This made ventilation very poor.
Reception was very good and friendly in spite of them being so busy. Swimming was fun too and I especially enjoyed the several tubs/jacuzzis.
Had a good time and I'd recommend this place if you're looking for an affordable place.

Room Tip: They allow pets, so make sure you know which you want.

Dear PatLeeFamily,

We want to thank you for posting your review of our property on the Trip Advisor website, it’s a great way to get some insightful feedback from those who have had first-hand experience at a property. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed the room and water facilities at the Blue Mountain Inn. We are excited about the facelift the Inn rooms are getting and look forward to more positive feedback about this lodging property. We anticipate all rooms will be substantially complete prior to the start of this winter season. We do have a few rooms now dedicated as pet friendly, and our pet owning guests are pretty happy with this offering.

This is my second time staying at the Blue Mountain Inn. The first time was for pleasure and this time was for business. I must admit I was a bit nervous going back to this hotel because our first experience wasn't that great. (Old, dated, musty smelling, unclean rooms)

However, I was pleasantly surprised with the difference this time around. My colleagues and I were staying on the 5th floor which went under renovations and now the rooms are fresh, clean and more modern. The bedding was crisp and clean and the beds were very comfortable (but small) The washrooms were clean and everything about the room experience was much more pleasant.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The actual banquet facilities that we experienced during our conference were great. (Especially the food)

Overall- I would say that if you get a newly renovated room you will enjoy your stay!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 5th floor because they are newly renovated

Dear SJB2011

We really appreciate your insightful remarks regarding your latest visit to Blue Mountain Resorts Limited and your favorable comments about the renovations to the Blue Mountain Inn rooms, in particular. We have had to do the Inn rooms in stages to avoid a total shut down of the property. We have now completed the 4th floor and will begin work on the 2nd & 3rd floors in the coming weeks. We hope to have all rooms completed and ready for the 12/13 winter season. We will be sure to share your kind comments with our front desk staff as well as chef and his team.

Once again, thank you for the time you have taken to provide our Trip Advisor readers with your comments about Blue Mountain Resorts Limited.

Because of my work schedule, and because we enjoy taking vacations when children are still in school ( being child free ourselves) we often find ourselves traveling in the off-season. This worked out very well for us at Blue Mountain Resort. We stayed at the inn midweek after may long weekend. Our room was clean and very nice. Maybe a little outdated but they are in the midst of a reno so that may improve. As for room amenities, old style tv ( not flat screen), no refrigerator. and leaky ice machine. But service was always great. In off season it can go either way, sometimes the hotels are so busy with their downtime projects they ignore you. But at this hotel the staff were all courteous and friendly, making small talk, asking about your plans for the day, making suggestions when asked. One downside was that most of the resort activities (gondola, mountain coaster) were not yet open for summer but attractions around town were open and not busy. We drove to Wasaga beach, toured Scenic Caves and suspension bridge and explored shops downtown. We were practically alone on the beach, and when we used the hotel's indoor pool and outdoor hottub we had that to ourselves too. Food at the hotel bar was generous and delicious, free breakfast was buffet but you could also order off a menu and recieve full service. We will definitely be back.

Dear iwasntdoneyet,

Thank you for your very gracious and detailed feedback on a recent visit to Blue Mountain Resorts Limited. We were delighted to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay and some of the local activities. Yes, the 5th floor was renovated in the fall of 2011 and the 4th floor is all but near completion at this time. We hope to complete the balance of our Inn rooms in the fall of 2012 and hope you will have an opportunity to return and stay in one of the new rooms. We think you will be very pleased with the results, the new rooms do offer a flat screen television and refrigerator, along with many other improvements. Chef and his team will be very happy to hear you enjoyed their creations.
