“Nice room renovations”

My sister and I visited for one night and I was pleased to get a good room rate which included breakfast in the Pottery restaurant. While the exterior and some common areas (elevator, indoor pool/fitness area) of the hotel are quite dated and a little depressing, we were very happy with the renovations which have been done to the rooms. The beds were very comfortable and the large shower in the bathroom is an improvement over the usual hotel tub/shower arrangement. I enjoyed the outdoor hot tub area and had it all to myself during our off-season visit.

While we understood the included breakfast is typically a buffet, we were allowed to order anything from the menu due to the fact the buffet not being set up for the low guest numbers that morning. There was a great selection and our server was very friendly and accommodating. Overall, the Inn provided great value for the money.

We are so glad to hear you found the room renovations pleasing, we are getting quite a bit of really positive feedback about the new look. The balance of the rooms will be complete in just a few weeks. There are definitely advantages to travelling off season, nice to hear you enjoyed the hot tubs and garden area, it’s a pretty spot. The Pottery Restaurant receives high accolades regularly, again, I’m thrilled they provided great service and as always a delicious meal.

everything is fresh and new. Pool tables and outdoor hot tub garden were highlights. The breakfast and the spa were fantastic! Elevator numbers didn't match the floor we were on, which was a bit strange (said #1 when we were on the fifth floor?!)

The time that my boyfriend and I visited the hotel was still under construction, however our stay was comfortable. We had a king bed room and it was clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend getting the breakfast added onto your stay because the breakfast at the pottery barn was awesome. I would return to this hotel pending the price is right as sometimes the value for the stay is not as great. Overall though not a bad find.

Construction is nearly complete and all Inn rooms will be sporting their fresh new look which is garnering very favorable feedback. The Inn rooms should be substantially complete just prior to our upcoming winter season. My husband and I with my 3 year old son stayed at Blue mountain Inn for 3 nights over the labour day long weekend. We are very pleased overall. We were put at 5th floor renovated room and we loved it, It was so new and clean, and the beds were comfortable. The Inn looked old on the outside and on the hallway but we don't care, as long as the room was comfortable. From what I've paid, it is over my expectation. I need to mention the staff at Pottery restaurant, the food was so so but the staff are very nice and friendly. We are treated like VIP. So we were not just gone for bkft but dinner too.
The only complain we have is when we checked in on Friday Aug 30 at 11:00pm, no one is at the counter so we knocked the desk (as there's no ring bell and no one answer when we said hello), then a lady came out from the room, no smile and sound inpatient when we asked her question.
But the check out lady on Monday morning was kind and helpful.
My son loved the experience here too and we will come back again,

Room Tip: I haven't seen the old room but I will recommend the newly renovated room

We arrived on Friday afternoon around 3 pm and the check in at the desk was quick and polite. Got to our room and it was clean and comfy with a HD flatscreen tv . The bathroom was just a shower but a large shower. We decided to head to the village for dinner and see what it had to offer . We took the shuttle service provided. Was quick and maybe 2 or 3 min drive there .

The Village is nice but we were noticing it was very pricey to eat there . My girlfriend had won a gift card for $400 of Facebook for Blue Mountain but we quickly found out that ALL the restaurants in the Village gave us the same answer ..." we are on Blue Mountain property but we aren't really Blue Mountain " ....so our gift card we had planned to use for meals was now useless....an example of pricey at Rusty's Bar and Grill a pull pork sandwich no fries ...$19.99 lol

We went back to our hotel and decided to use the hot tubs......the hot tubs for us was the best feature of this hotel. 4 well maintained and spaced out nicely for privacy tubs with stone steps for the different levels they were on. Relaxing and a great way to cap a long day before bed

Kudos as well to security as we had a group of young teenagers on the second night in the room above us that were cranking the music and yelling and swearing that when I called the desk security was there right away and things were quitted right away ....15 mins later the kids started again and the desk was called security was sent and we didn't here a peep for the rest of the night

Overall we enjoyed our stay the hotel was nice and clean and the hot tubs are a must to visit but with the extra costs of attractions plus the way over pricing to eat and drink in the village ( $9.00 for vodka coolers ) if we didn't have the $400 gift card we would not go back but just purely for financial reasons. If money is not an issue for you and just need a quiet weekend away then this is not a bad option

We are really happy to see that you liked the new Inn rooms, we are getting great feedback and yours is no exception, thank you. The Blue Mountain gift card is currently designed for use at Blue Mountain owned retail and dining outlets. The little card holder that your gift card comes in should outline the locations it is accepted in, we are sorry that you were not aware of this before venturing out to the Village. Most of the Village commercial outlets are privately owned and operated, they are very popular with many of our guests, pricing is not something we establish. We are sorry if you didn’t make use of your gift card at our Pottery restaurant or Jozo’s, the food and service are great, both of these locations are Blue Mountain owned and operated and conveniently located in the Blue Mountain Inn.

The hot tubs and all the garden area around them was restored about 2 years ago now, with heat tracing in the walkways to keep it functional in the snowy weather as well, we are also very pleased with the outcome of this part of our renovation, glad you enjoyed this area.

We will be sure to recognize our security team for their prompt and effective response to some unsupervised and unruly teens above you. Thanks again for your feedback, we hope you will have an opportunity to return again in the future.

I came here for one night and was pleasantly surprised as it was a last minute booking. I was greeted at the front desk by a pleasant employee, and i asked to see the room (mostly to see the bed because my back has been giving me trouble) and that was no problem.
The room was clean, bed was comfortable and my massage was booked with ease. I had a 60 minute swedish massage included in my room rate along with a breakfast. The hotel is under renovations, so it's a little noisy here and there. Breakfast at the Pottery was very good, good selection of items. I liked the baked beans!
Would go back in the winter to ski and have a longer stay.

The Inn is currently in the final stages of renovations to each guest room. The results are wonderful and feedback very positive, we hope to have all renovations completed prior to ski season. The spa has had some extensive renovations as well and the outcome is very nice, we are happy to hear you enjoyed your treatment and hope your back had some relief. The Pottery boasts a great menu, whether you are dining with them for breakfast, lunch or dinner, glad breakfast was a hit.

Ski season isn’t far off now, season passes are already on sale; we look forward to your return when the snow graces us!

We booked a Slope Side Condo and found it odd that check in time was 4pm. Arriving with grandkids at 4:05PM we were told the unit was not ready yet and could we wait a few minutes! We went to the outdoor area and it was not until 5 Pm I got called the Condo was ready. The reception was fairly cordial but made no attempt to apologize until I complained we had young chidlren etc. She finally said she would comp us something. On check out there was no record and we were almost brushed of until a second person agreed to a 10% discount on the first night. Condo was terrific in every aspect and I liked the remote location away from the Village hustle and bustle that was only a 10 minute walk away. The Inn not so much greetings few and far between if at all for a vacation spot? Pool had a limit of 10 people in total I have had more people at backyard pools? This was my second trip to the Inn and not sure specifically but mangement have a problem that needs assessed " Customers come first not the company!

Room Tip: Slope Side was very nice 108 I believe it was. Well equipped and very clean in deed Kudos here

I’m very sorry to hear we missed our goal of a prompt check in and understand how this would be a poor start to your getaway. With a departure time of 11am and guests that leave beyond that time without prior warning, we have at best 4-5 hours to clean and prepare our days arrivals. This should be ample time unless there are unforeseen circumstances that prevent access to specific units by our cleaning staff. I’m disappointed to see that our front office staff did not acknowledge the delay in room readiness and that you had to make mention of this before it was addressed, we will be sure to address this matter with our staff in this area for future guest interactions. I am however pleased to note that one of the staff on duty was able to recognize the inconvenience and amended by extending a discount to you. The slope side units are very popular, winter and summer, we don’t have a large inventory at this location but it is in a desirable spot for access to the Village and slopes.

We can assure you that our customers do come first and only regret that the actions of one have created an impression of business first; this is definitely not the case. Just view some of our other Trip Advisor guest comments; our staff and the service they render is generally very positively highlighted.
