We were a group of 9 with 5 kids. It was so relaxing. Blue moutain was wonderful in itself. But staying at this hotel made us feel so much at home. We left reluctantly and very relaxed.

This is our second summer we go there for a mini getaway and the resort is beautiful, clean and offers great amenities. The one thing that disappointed me was the door staff. Upon arrival, hubby and baby in tow, we parked infront like all other cars to unload luggage. There were 3-4 staff at the door and not one of them offered to get us a trolly or assist us with our luggage! it was not just us, I noticed this with all guests both arriving and leaving. They did greet some guests inbetween their chats but none offered assistance - I'm sure what their role was. Aside from that, check in as fairly easy, room cleaning staff very pleasant, the pool staff friendly and the amenities grea (the village is nice)t. I just would like to know what the door staff is supposed to do since there are so many of them, but I didn't see any of them assist guests???? We'll go back in winter for skiing.

Eventhough the date showing I visited here is not correct (could not chose dif. date)...I stayed at the W.Trillium with my 12 year old son a few years ago in March for a ski/snowboard get away. I struck a stay and ski deal for a few days so the price was very reasonable.
The place is beautiful. Room is "hotel" type however, upon walking in, left wall is kitchen counter/microwave, dishwasher, sink, fridge....room has superior decor, bedding and bath are exquisite. Not a huge room but what was there was lavish. Oh yes, and the fireplace and patio door with view of the outdoor pool and hot tub (which, by the way, are open all year long)..and of the Village were great. Have been to Blue Mountain Village 2 times per year for the last 4 years now and the Westin hasn't changed. The proximity to the ski lifts/hills could not be any better. Not a bad thing to say about the place at the exception that take note: Blue Mountain Village is owned by Intrawest (same owners as Whistler Village, B.C. and Mont Tremblant) but the Trillium, although on their property, is independently run. To get a stay and ski package for busy weekends, we usually book by November 1st for weekend in February....the Westin, that early in the year, does not offer "stay and ski" packages, therefore making it more expensive.

Dear Meemster,

Thank you for your belated review of a March Break vist to the Trillium and the Blue Mountain Village (guess it coincides with my belated response!). I am very pleased that you and your son enjoyed your visit and that our standard room met your expectations. I would have to agree that prices during our peak ski season can be higher than other times during the year due primarily to volume demand, however deals can always be had on our booking page or through our call centres. Thank you once agin for your experienced insight and we look forward to yet another return visit.

This was a three day getaway for my wife & I to celebrate retirement and we were not disappointed. From the valet parking to when we checked out, the staff were amazing and very friendly. There were many students working there for their summer job and whoever trains these kids has done a fabulous job. Being friendly and outgoing is something that's in people but every staff we came in contact with really knew their stuff. BRAVO!!
The village with shops and restaurants is right at your doorstep but don't pass by the restaurant at the Westin. It's simply great. We'll be back.

Everything was excellent with this hotel. Best bed we've ever slept in for sure! In every single hotel we've ever stayed in, you're woken up early with doors banging and toilets flushing but we didn't hear one single noise throughout our stay...heaven!!

Stayed here over 3 years ago but the hotel is not showing its age. Check in was efficient - a bit of a line-up but complimentary parking was offered to ease the short wait. Room (suite) was spotless including dishes and cutlery. Pool was a bit crowded with families but it's vacation time and a long weekend. That's to be expected. Grounds are beautiful with native plants and flowers flourishing. Despite the crowds, the suite was quiet. Very good air conditioning. Restraurant was top-notch and unlike the rest of the property, very few people. Overall, one of the best resorts around.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pools can be noisy - mountain views are quiet.

There was a bit of trouble at check-in - somehow our reservation had been cancelled. We sure didn't cancel it, we'd been looking forward to going and it was a birthday celebration. The woman at check-in quickly found us a one-bedroom suite on the 2nd floor overlooking the lake and the village...that more than made up for the scare we had about possibly not being able to stay (it was a sold out weekend). Everywhere we went, the staff were friendly and greeted us with a smile. A woman gave me a free pop from the front desk - just a small gesture, but it meant so much! Even the guy cleaning the floors at 6am who let me into the business centre greeted me with a big smile. Friendly staff make all the difference. You can tell they've had good training and have hired the right people. We ate on the patio of O&B and really enjoyed it. Not over-priced, which was appreciated. They could have jacked the prices up given the location, but the prices were the same as the O&B in Toronto. We didn't use the pools - they were overrun with kids. No room to swim - no adult only area. The heavenly bed is amaaaazing. We want to buy one for home. We had a wonderful time and will go back for sure. Highly recommend it.

Dear Sandybeach70,

Thank you for a wonderful review of your visit in August, we are quite pleased that our associates were able to make an impact during your stay. You hit the nail right on the head with our pool and hot tubs - they get busy during the summer so plan to arrive early to secure a lounge. We do look forward to your next visit
