“Dinner”
Reviewed 26 December 2013

Awful! Cold uncooked veg and then when complained they took the remaining veg back and microwaved it. Leaving the veg on the plate to stay cold, no offer to keep food warm and only one potato on my mothers plate. They said they would cook more and it would take ten minutes. Obviously in that time we would have eaten the meal if indeed it was edible!

Room Tip: Don't stay there if you intend to eat

Many Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback Ian. I'm terribly sorry to hear that your experience was not satisfactory and that you did not enjoy your meal with us. We pride ourselves on serving excellent quality fresh food, and feedback such as yours is extremely valuable for us to ensure that all elements of our offering are to the required standard. I'm currently investigating your issues with the team that were on shift on Boxing Day to try and establish what exactly went wrong. I do understand that they made all efforts to rectify your issues and provided you with all additional items requested. I'm also working closely with our Head Chef to improve recipes so that we can meet demand for both Al Dente vegetables (which are currently extremely popular) and well cooked vegetables. We will do our very best to ensure all tastes and preferences are catered for in the future if it is at all possible. I understand that on the day, all food items were not charged and removed from your bill. If you would like to discuss your feedback further or are not entirely happy with the resolution then please do not hesitate to contact me on 0161 9732538. Once again I'd like to sincerely apologise on behalf of the Belmore and really hope to see you again in the future so you can witness how seriously we take all feedback and the changes we've made to improve our service and meal quality.
Many Thanks,
Sarah McIntosh

We stayed here as we were visiting Manchester for the Christmas markets. Ideal location for getting into Manchester either by car (20 mins) or a 10 minute walk to the nearest tram stop.

The hotel itself has a country house feel to it. Our room was located on the top floor - a bit of a hike - but worth it. Beautifully decorated room and very clean.

We did not stay for breakfast or any meals so cannot comment on the food, but there was a nice bar area serving meals.

We would stay here again if the price was right. This was cheaper than the inner city travel lodges on this occasion.

Room Tip: If you struggle with stairs, make sure you make them aware on booking.

Just spent our second night in this Very good small hotel with pub/restaurant. Rooms clean and well maintained, helpful and friendly staff. Nice breakfast prepared to order.
Ideal spot for a night or two, easy links to Manchester in the tram and close to Timperley and Altrincham.

We steed here after a family get together in Manchester. Situated in a quiet suburban road, yet close to the city (easy to get to by Metrolink, Brooklands station), the accommodation was of high quality. We only stayed one night, and did not dine there, but the menu looked interesting and the breakfast was very good. We had a suite, which was well equipped and comfortable. I would have given this hotel an excellent rating, but we had a very noisy guests directly above us that kept us awake for half the night - although this is hardly the fault of the hotel.
The hotel is also near the Bridgewater canal, and we had an excellent walk into the city along the towpath the following day

Room Tip: Try the top floor, to avoid having people above you!

Attended a Golden Wedding Celebration at hotel so it seemed sensible to stay at this hotel. It seemed a little more expensive than Premier Inn but by the time I had added in breakfast there and also taxis, I was very slightly in pocket!
On arrival I was greeted very warmly and actually shown to my room! And what a room, lovely and warm, beautifully decorated, likewise the bathroom - with not just miniture toiletaries but large containers of shampoo, shower gel and hand wash!
Relaxed in the bar prior on arrival, which was busy, and the food being taken through looked delicious - the chips were wonderful!!
The quality and quantity of the food at the function was fantastic! Especially the cheesecake!
Time for bed, hotel quiet! Area quiet! and bed oh so comfortable, didn't want to move when the alarm rang!
Having eating well from the buffet the night before I couldn't do the breakfast justice, but what I had was beatifully prepared and above all served, rather than a fight at a buffet!
All in all the icing on the cake for a Golden Celebration of dear friends
Would certainly recommend and stay again

Stayed here on business mid week for the first time in the area. Kyle looked after us from check-in to check-out - outstanding service! Rooms are a good size and immaculately clean and appointed. The place just had a good feel to it all round, the rooms, the bar (nice beer Cora!) and the restaurant. Breakfast was comprehensive and well cooked. So nice to stay somewhere out of the usual chains and get an excellent all round experience. Thoroughly recommended.
