Me and my family went to the Belmore on Sunday lunchtime to celebrate my nephew's christening. There wasn't a lot of us so we just had a normal meal in the restaurant. It was very busy because of the good weather but we still received excellent service. They had decorated our table for us and gave us a good table out of the way so we could relax. The restaurant is very clean and is well staffed. We were served by Shaun, who was very friendly and worked really hard. Even though he was rushed off his feet he managed to still give us great service. Some of our party had to leave earlier than others and he arranged for their meals to be made before everyone else's, which was greatly appreciated. We were served by Ben and Mike at the bar who were also friendly and hard working. The whole team of staff, including the manager, worked well together and helped each other out which meant not only us but other diners as well got a high standard of service. We had the Sunday Lunch menu which is great value for money. The choice for each course is very varied which means there is something for everyone. The roast dinner was lovely and the dessert in particular was one of the best I have had in a restaurant. The food overall was amazing. I would highly recommend the restaurant in this hotel to anyone...great food, wonderful staff and good value for money. We will be going back again.

My wife and I took advantage of the wine dine and duvet package on Valentine's night and I have to say the whole experience was fantastic. The welcome on arrival was very pleasant by Ben who served us for most of the evening and was a credit to the place. Then the room, absolutely gorgeous and of the quality we've not had in far more expensive hotels. Evening meal was exceptional, and again, the staff couldn't do enough. Breakfast the following morning was buffet style and the food was of a high quality, again served by conscientious staff who were extremely attentive as they worked. All in all, I have to say we were both well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will most definitely return and keep up the good work Belmore!

Room Tip: We had room 2 which was lovely.

Our 4 th visit to this great hotel in Sale.
Very conveniently located on Brooklands Road, about a 10 minute walk up to the metrolink station which is direct in to the centre of Manchester.
The rooms are luxurious with all the amenities expected, comfy beds, coffee and tea making facilities. There is a separate entrance to the bar and restaurant area.
Breakfast is included and is of a high standard, freshly cooked to order and a good choice including fresh juices, cereal, fruit and pastries.
There is plenty of parking available.
If you are staying in the area this is definitely by far the best place to stay in Sale!

Went for sunday lunch with a party of 9. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was excellent. We have avoided this pub for a few years due to repeatedly poor food and poor service. We heard it had a new manager and new staff late last year so thought we'd give it another try. What an improvement.

We stayed one night at the Belmore as part of a Dine and Duvet package. I'm pretty fussy when it comes to hotels/B&Bs.
Decor: Excellent. Tasteful, modern but elegant. Very homely.
Sound: I'm very sensitive to this but we heard nothing at all from other guests or from the restaurant/bar. We had a room at the side and I think at the top.
Bed: Very, very comfortable with excellent pillows. Temperature of room controlled by electric heater so you can pretty much get it the temperature you want.
Bathroom:Boiling hot water (don't put your hand under the tap just to check like I did!). Good shower, decent size bath and lots of mirrors including an excellent shaving mirror. Some leakage under the sink/toilet area will require maintenance as is causing the lino to peel a bit (hence only 4 for the cleanliness - everything else fantastic though).
Breakfast: Full English - Perfectly cooked and not oily. A good choice also if you didn't want the full breakfast e.g. smoked salmon and scrambled eggs etc. Pastries advertised but didn't see any of these.
Service: Staff were really helpful, without being 'too helpful'. We felt we retained our sense of privacy, whilst being very well looked after. The guy that showed us to our room had only bee there three days yet really knew his stuff. Everyone we encountered were very friendly but professional.

To improve: Perhaps a better selection of teas for non-caffeine people like us in the room. This was excellent at breakfast though.

Room Tip: We were in room 19 and really liked this (on corridor with rooms 15-22?).

Awful! Cold uncooked veg and then when complained they took the remaining veg back and microwaved it. Leaving the veg on the plate to stay cold, no offer to keep food warm and only one potato on my mothers plate. They said they would cook more and it would take ten minutes. Obviously in that time we would have eaten the meal if indeed it was edible!

Room Tip: Don't stay there if you intend to eat

Many Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback Ian. I'm terribly sorry to hear that your experience was not satisfactory and that you did not enjoy your meal with us. We pride ourselves on serving excellent quality fresh food, and feedback such as yours is extremely valuable for us to ensure that all elements of our offering are to the required standard. I'm currently investigating your issues with the team that were on shift on Boxing Day to try and establish what exactly went wrong. I do understand that they made all efforts to rectify your issues and provided you with all additional items requested. I'm also working closely with our Head Chef to improve recipes so that we can meet demand for both Al Dente vegetables (which are currently extremely popular) and well cooked vegetables. We will do our very best to ensure all tastes and preferences are catered for in the future if it is at all possible. I understand that on the day, all food items were not charged and removed from your bill. If you would like to discuss your feedback further or are not entirely happy with the resolution then please do not hesitate to contact me on 0161 9732538. Once again I'd like to sincerely apologise on behalf of the Belmore and really hope to see you again in the future so you can witness how seriously we take all feedback and the changes we've made to improve our service and meal quality.
Many Thanks,
Sarah McIntosh

We stayed here as we were visiting Manchester for the Christmas markets. Ideal location for getting into Manchester either by car (20 mins) or a 10 minute walk to the nearest tram stop.

The hotel itself has a country house feel to it. Our room was located on the top floor - a bit of a hike - but worth it. Beautifully decorated room and very clean.

We did not stay for breakfast or any meals so cannot comment on the food, but there was a nice bar area serving meals.

We would stay here again if the price was right. This was cheaper than the inner city travel lodges on this occasion.

Room Tip: If you struggle with stairs, make sure you make them aware on booking.
