Opened in 2000, the panoramic lift of Boca do Vento allows to live a double experience, when we cross the river Tagus from Lisbon to Cacilhas. If after disembarking we continue towards the west, by the old quay, by the river, we walk 10 minutes until we find the access to this panoramic elevator, which transports us to the historical center of the city of Almada. The climb costs 1.00 euro and the lift runs daily from 08.00 to 24.00. From the top, we can enjoy the best panoramic view over Lisbon and this is a very worthwhile experience! As it is worthwhile to venture a little on a walk through the streets and alleys of old Almada, from the Castle Garden, right next to the exit of the elevator. In a corner of the garden, Moor the Rio is one of the most recommended restaurants to eat well while we delight in this view. Further down, at the Gingal pier, the options for "eating with a view" are two: the Ponto Final is the first of the restaurants we find after descending to the river by the elevator. And just after this one is the Atira-te ao Rio, old restaurant on a small river beach ...

A slender, tall structure placed on the river's Tagus bank. For a very small fee(less than 2 euro for a round trip-it's a old man selling tickets right in the cabin). It's a short trip,it takes about 5 minutes. At the top is a restaurant with an outside terrace that offers stunning views. To get to the elevators you have to take a walk(about 1km) starting from Cacilhas port alongside the Tagus' bank.A very nice walk, though there are a lot of abandoned places on the left.

For 1€ you have a roundtrip ticket up and down this tall elevator with a friendly old man running it. Always with a very strong wind so be mindful of your things. Once you go up there are more things to see like a church and a garden and the small village which is so quiet. Just make sure you allot enough time to go back to the ferry station from here as it is quite a walk

Don’t go here when you think it will rain. It will be a waste of time and very difficult to return to the port

Very nice view from the elevator to Lisboa. Ticket cost EUR 1,-. Also the way to the Elevator is nice. Close to Tejo river. If you like to use the stairs: the stairs starts at Punto Final

A small elevator that only came up 5 minutes after I pressed the button. Oh, an old man open the door and asked for one euro for the ticket. Okay. Crowd gets in. Smell of dog or human urine in the lift. The windows were so dirty that you could only see a blurred view of outside. The route from the lift to the ferry is full of ruins, if you like them. Graffitis, more graffitis. The ruined dockyard look like haunted as sun got dark. Finally we arrived at the ferry and we all gave a sigh of relief.
