“Quaint traditional Japanese Village”
Reviewed 21 November 2010

This trip was about 2-2.5 hours by car from Kobe and buses also run from Kyoto. A few made a day trip by Motorbike to come out here.
Was a beautiful Autumn day when we went and the colours were sensational on the drive.
Was a great walk around the village where locals still live. Many homes have beautifully thick thatched rooves and there's a temple and open house for a visit and green tea (of course!) It also features the old style drop toilet, farm implements, internal barn and upper storey. It takes around 2-3 hours to do the village well.
We were glad we were with Japanese speaking locals as it is off the beaten track.
