I was a little disappointed as it was called a resort and my idea of a resort was not matched by the ammenities of this hotel. They did have natural hotsprings and lots of activities on-site, but must have been off-season as nothing seemed open or active. Rooms were huge (by Japanese standards) yet the bathroom and beds were tiny and somewhat uncomfortable (did not try Japanese style beds). Service was minmal in the lounge and dinner was also not serviced very well. Overall it did not meet expectations of typical exceptional Japanese hospitality and was over-priced for the quality and service provided. Fabulous view of the Sendai valley from the top of a short walk up a trail near the hotel. Showed the devastation from the tsunami even 1 year later. Amazing people when you consider how they have brought the city back from the ruins so quickly.
