Arrived on the Osaka Monorail and changed to the underground (simply follow blue arrow painted onto the ground to transfer from Monorail station to the underground towards Esaka station). We made it, door to door, in around 40 minutes. Very handy. Other travellers have pointed out the usual features of the Japanese unit-fitted bathrooms, the option to lift up the bed and thus make some floor space. The fridge was a bit smelly (previous guests must have stocked it with fish :*)
Friendly staff. Amazing spa on the top floor open in two shifts, the early morning and then the early evening until late night shift, Think it doesn't close until 0130. Tried a 20 min shiatsu style massage (you keep your tee on). Great massage. Also had breakkie in the hotel, payable directly upon entering, 1000 yen a head. Small selection, but ok. We used Esaka as a base to discover Kyoto (easy access from the Shin-Osaka station only a couple of stops away) and Osaka itself. Friendly atmosphere and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to explore Osaka and the attractions of Kyoto.
