There is no superlative good enough for this place. The food was the best I have had in Japan . Nothing was too much trouble right down to free pain dressing for sore muscles from the Kumano Kodo walk. The bath was a delight and the view breathtaking.

Reviewed 27 July 2013

My husband ,adult son and myself stayed for one night in June while walking the Kumano Kodo. It was a delightful experience although we were apprehensive as it was our first experience of staying in a home. The owners were so hospitable and helpful, we had a peaceful night's sleep and a delicious meal. Mr Yuba is a former chef. I was kindly driven to the highway bus stop after the boys had set out the next morning as I was not walking that day. Nearby, a bout 100 metres is the awesome Nonaka-no-Shimizu spring. I wish we had been able to stay another night and I would certainly love to return.
