“"Perfect for Hen Party or Relaxing Weekend"”
Reviewed 16 July 2013

We hired the wing of this beautiful house for a Hen Party last weekend (12/13 July 2013). We were not disappointed. The rooms are all very good sizes (many of them are en-suites) and there is a large sitting room/dining room which is perfect for large groups. Sarah had thoughtfully left us some milk, wine and chocolates to get us going and was very helpful and accommodating at all times. There is a gorgeous little garden at the back which can also seat up to 14 people and plenty of parking. It really was the perfect venue for a hen do.

We just rented the whole house for 12 adults over our wedding in June, and stayed for ten days.
Sarah was amazing from the outset, nothing was too much trouble from setting up the rooms for our requirements to printing boarding passes. We were even invited to the local village jig the pig.
There was all the things you don't usually expect to find in a self catering house from dishwashing liquid to salt, pepper, tea, coffee, milk etc and to top it off prosecco and chocolates on arrival.
All the rooms are spacious and well decorated as are the bathrooms.
The house is well suited to big groups, you all feel as though you have space and the village is gorgeous, you feel part of the village but yet you are close enough to Bath if you fancy going into the city.
Would highly recommend and would love to go back!

My brother-in-law booked this house on a whim as part of our attempt to stay away from hotels.

From the moment we had our first interaction with Sarah, she was nothing less than professional and extremely accomodating with us. With the short notice of our stay (next day), she didn't require the normal security deposit, and when we were lost, she provided some easy directions and met us out front when we arrived.

Sarah had a small sampling of kitchen items for us, including cereal, milk, bread, sugar, coffee, butter and a few other items. All were greatly appreciated as we didn't get to the local grocery store until the next day.

The kitchen has a neat little door that you don't immediately recognise when you walk in, and has a dishwasher, stove, oven and fridge. A kettle, toaster and all the utensils are present as well.

The diningroom table is massive - fits probably 10 people easily. The livingroom has 3 large couches and a fireplace.

There is TV in each room, along with all the channels you would need. Each of the bedrooms has an ensuite, and the master has a tub with a massive bathroom and heated floors (so I'm told by my mother and father-in-law, as they secured the big room).

We were provided with firewood on our stay, but if you plan to burn more than a few hours, try and pick some up at the grocery store for a few pounds a bundle.

The George Inn and The Fleur de Lys are both local pubs that offer a great selection of real ale pubs and some great local company who are always willing to provide you with some travel advice, beer advice or just general chit chat.

To sum it up, the Manor was a great place with a ton of space for everyone, from a couple to a family of 5 adults.

We loved your house, Sarah, and when we make our way back one day, we'll look you up again.

I cannot recommend the Manor Farm House more highly. Sarah and Simon were incredibly welcoming and helpful when we first arrived and the house was absolutely immaculate; warm and cosy yet quirky and stylish. The large sitting room was perfect for everyone to gather round in the evening and there was enough space at the table for all 12 of us to eat together.
As it was a bit chilly on the saturday Simon came in and lit a log fire for us in the sitting room which was a lovely personal touch. We were able to go for some lovely walks and to a couple of great local pubs in Norton St. Philips and the centre of Bath was only a 20 minute drive away. It's absolutely perfect for a fun, relaxing weekend away with friends or family.

We could not have chosen a better suited property or location for our special Birthday/Family reunion! Spacious, clean, extremely well presented, quirky, comfortable throughout (especially the beds). Peaceful village and yet within striking distance of Bath. Sarah made the whole experience (from initial contact to departure) extremely easy. A very professional service all round. Highly recommend to others.

Room Tip: Take your pick - all great and a little different to each other - if pushed, would probably choose t...

I am so glad that we were unable to get accommodation in Bath - this property is a gem and its owners, Sarah and Simon, are two in a million.
Bath at Christmastime was pandemonium - fun but frenzied, and the Manor was the perfect escape - so elegant yet relaxed. It's not far at all from the city, but just long enough that you get to enjoy a short drive through beautiful countryside, and to unwind in a tranquil village with great walks.
Generous, thoughtfully prepared breakfasts, gorgeous toiletries, the most comfortable bed of our whole trip, tasteful decorating, a picture postcard setting and hosts who seem to genuinely care that you enjoy every moment of your stay - I must sound like I'm gushing but I can't recommend it enough - do yourself a favour and make this your preference when wanting to enjoy Bath and surrounds.

Room Tip: I don't think you could go wrong - we had an attic room and it was large, plush and perfectly ap...

Or family of 9 spent a long weekend there recently and we loved our stay in the Manor. The owners had been in touch several times prior to our stay to make sure everything was in order and the place was spotless and ready upon our arrival.
There is a very large dining table in the living area and a great little kitchen. We had planned a few evening trips into Bath to eat but having had such a relaxed meal in the manor on our first night we ended up staying in a lot more to cook and relax in the evening playing games and the like. We all liked our rooms and had comfortable nights on the good beds provided. I bagged the master room with a four poster bed which has a massive bathroom and a excellent downpour shower. We got used to the lay out of the upstairs which has two rooms on the second floor and a further 3 roomed flat on the third floor.
There are lots of nice touches like games and ipod docks in the living area, good equipment in the kitchen, nice toiletries in the bathrooms and guides for local walks.
The location is good being about 15 - 20 minutes away from Bath so you get the best of staying in the country while having Bath close by.
The Manor more then met our expectations and the owners are very friendly and more than willing to help with anything or offer advice if needed.
