We stayed here for the May Day bank holiday weekend. I faxed the hotel in advance asking for a quiet room overlooking the field and that is exactly what we were given. This room was very quiet (except for the usual, inconsiderate late night door slamming!) The decor was the norm for Pemier Inn but very well maintained. The location is good with the Table Table next door or a Mcdonalds if you prefer. We ate one night in Table Table. The sevice was quick and friendly but the food was only average. We thought that the standard would have been better than it was and would probably have done just as well with a burger from McDonalds. The receptionist (Jacky) was very helpful, printing off train timetables for us. We spent one day in Brighton parking at the marina multi-story for 9 hours free of charge. It took about 30 mins to walk to the Pier from here but it was a nice walk along the sea front. There was a small tourist train costing £2 which ran this route if you didn't want to walk. I understand that parking in Brighton can be quite an issue. We ate at the Marina before returning to the hotel. There are many restaurants in Brighton!
We found Eastbourne to be a bit run down and much prefered BrightonMore
