“Great budget stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2014

We were staying here for a friends wedding so only the one night. The room was clean and airy, no noise during the night so great windows too! It's all refurbished and new too. We had a triple room, double and a single bed, all comfy proper beds. Polite and helpful staff, we were with friends and they allowed them to check in early as their room was already vacated which was really handy on the day.

Hotel and staff were fantastic, room clean and facilities as expected. Table Table restaurant very poor service, missed drinks from order, waited 20 mins for child's fruit shoot, went to bar and was told table service only! Rude staff, extremely long wait, poor choice of food!

Extremely helpful and polite reception staff.
Good food and service in restaurant.Restaurant facility much superior than Hastings Premier Inn.
Staff held open doors for me as using a crutch at present following an operation.

Stayed here with our daughter and her two children, therefore booked a double room and a family room. Why is it that our rooms are never near each other?!! We were upstairs and they were on the ground floor. I asked if we could be nearer but apparently all booked up and ground floor are family rooms only? Not sure about this but accepted we could not move rooms. Rooms were very well furnished and equipped, fans available in lieu of air-con if needed, good shower and reasonably comfortable bed (although by previous stays at Premier Inns this particular bed was a little lumpy!) Pillows very good so pretty much lives up to it's reputation for a good night's sleep.

Breakfast at the Treacle Mine was fine but one order was completely missed meaning our grand daughter was eating when we were finished (long wait for hers!) Dinner the evening before as to be expected, but good quality for pub food. One suggestion - could the toaster please be moved away from the bread and muffins basket as people were pushing through the toaster queue to get bread and the waitress found it difficult to replenish.

It's a good place to stop off but we paid a very high rate it seems compared to others staying at this time - little bit miffed by that - obviously doesn't pay to book too soon in advance!

I like the new improved bedrooms at this Premier Inn. The curtains block light properly and the pelmet does its job (should be a legal requirement in all hotels!!!). The lighting is nothing short of a miracle... I can now read and sew without bringing my own portable lamp!

Good to have more electric sockets, even though they still don't have one where you most need it, to charge your phone next to the bed. Good size telly and enough mirrors in proper places - also miraculous!

The only thing I really don't like is the very meagre amount of wardrobe hanging space, and the fact it is right by the bedroom door. How many times do you see bedroom doors propped open by cleaners? I don't want my stuff right by the door, I want it over by the window like it is in many other Premier Inns.

Oh, and the bath needs a grab handle, and a non slip matt. It's not safe climbing into an over bath shower without either.

Overall good though. Very quiet, I got a great night's sleep. Plenty of parking. Lovely friendly staff. A good breakfast at the Treacle Mine next door.

One night stop over. Very clean and comfortable hotel and room, asked for a quiet room and got one at rear near car park, only to have MG owners club turn up at Midnight with 20+ cars , all wanting to talk about their cars. Had dinner and breakfast at adjoining restaurant, food and service very good, bar area well used, seating area a bit scruffy and sticky. price for room very good at 39 pounds. excellent position to visit south downs and Eastbourne area.

Check in was great although we werent told that to operate the lights you had to use a card.the other thing is the room didnt have a phone i had told my son that if there were any problems at home to ring and they would put him through to the room, so i wasnt happy about that, apart from that the room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful parking was good and there is a mcdonalds and a petrol station with a 24 hour coop nearby i would definately stay here again
