“What a gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2012

My husband and I stayed at Sedirli Ev for a few days in September. We are both well traveled and very particular about accomodations (picky New Yorkers) so I do not say this lightly: It was the best part of our trip to Turkey. The room was comfortable and clean and the overall charm of Sedirli and Zeynep (the owner) and her staff cannot be denied. The breakfasts that were prepared for us were delicious, the pool and lounge area was gorgeous and Zeynep's restaurant and beach recommendations were always on point. Though Sedirli Ev is not on Alacati's main strip it is really easy to get to from the main strip and away from the noise and perpetual activity of the strip. You will not regret booking at Sedirli Ev!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool. It's pretty to look at, day or night.

I have spent 3 nights in Sedirli ev in August and I realy felt like I was at home
Very nice, very clean and so friendly , the owner Zeynep is a very nice person with her friendly staff. We have started the day with delicious breakfast served by the pool in their green garden.
Then the whole day we were at the beautiful beaches of Alacati , we could not dare to miss tasty tea and homemade cookies/cakes so we come back by 6 pm each day and enjoyed 5 o'clock tea...swam in the pool as well, then at night after coming back from dining, it is also so tranquilizing sitting in the garden on green grass and having a cup of Turkish coffee accompanied with Turkish Sweet....
I definetely recommend you to stay in Sedirli Ev in Alacati İzmir....

Room Tip: Rooms opening to garden and the pool can be a good choice

This place is awesome. It's beautiful, the food is delicious, the staff is helpful, friendly, kind and fun. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and pretty. My friend came a day before I did and Zeynep made him feel right at home, made him dinner, and showed him the town and occupied him all day with some fun adventures. She is excellent company and a very special person. The breakfast is delicious and tea, coffee, and homemade limoncello are served at the pool. This place is awesome- I definitely recommend and would go back. If you are looking for a relaxing get away in a quiet town, this is your place.

My stay at Sedirli Ev was unforgettable. We celebrated the 90st birthday of my mother and most of the family was there filling the entire hotel. Never have I been treated with such kindness and charm by the hotel staff and in combination with the excellent oriental cooking and atmosphere made this just the perfect place. The rooms are all different and with the memorabilia collected over many years and displayed nicely it looks more like home than a hotel. I congratulate Zeynep with her taste and effort and wish her great success living her dream. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Room Tip: all rooms are very nice and comfortable

Where to begin with this place...there are just too many positives about this place.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in early July 2012 and loved every second of our experience here. Our decision to come to Alacati was last minute and we were a bit skeptical about it, but we were so happy that we went. It is an easy, scenic, 45 minute drive from the airport.

At first glance Sedirli Ev leaves a bit to be desired from the outside. The area is growing immensely and as such there is quite a bit of construction in the area. DO NOT let that get in the way of your decision to stay here. Like us, you'll love every minute of your stay.
Just an FYI - we were NOT woken up by the construction on any of the days we were there...it
says a lot since my wife and I are both light sleepers.

If you drive here from the airport, there is ample parking outside of the B&B to park your car. Don't worry, the area is safe and it is definitely safe to leave your car overnight.

The B&B is set back a bit from the town center, which we preferred. The center of town can be noisy throughout the night with tourists, music etc. It is a very safe and short walk from Sedirli Ev to the center: 5 to 10 minutes max depending on how fast you walk. Don't worry about walking around Alacati at night. it is quite safe. my wife and I were lost walking aimlessly throughout the town around midnight. We asked a bar owner where we were and how to get back to our B&B...he said far and offered to take us both back for free. The people in this city are simply fantastic...as you will realize when you meet Zeynep

Upon walking into the B&B you're greeted by one of the most gracious hosts / owners we have ever met (Zeynep) and a warm decor elicits an incredibly welcoming feel. The rooms are kept immaculately clean and the beds are incredibly comfortable. We had the best nights sleep here. The TVs have a ton of channels if you like to channel surf and there is free wifi throughout the B&B. The thing that we loved most about this place was (1) the homely feeling we had when we entered the B&B and our room and (2) Zeynep. Breakfast in the morning was a platter of local delights which were simply fantastic. The spreads were all homemade and left us both licking our fingers wanting more. The backyard / garden area is such a nice relaxing place to sit and unwind. The patio is shaded quite nicely and the pool (although we didn't use it) it a nice addition when you don't want to be at the beach. Star gazing from the garden area at night was fantastic. If you're a photographer, I was able to get a few star trail pictures from the backyard.

Zeynep is an amazing host and guide. She's a free spirit that makes her guests feel as if they just entered their own house. On our first night, she walked us through the town showing us all of the restaurants and shops she frequents. Don't miss eating at Asma Yapragi...amazing...best food we had in Alacati hands down. On another day, Zeynep drove us to a nearby grocery store to pick up supplies before taking us to the beach...I am not sure how else to describe Zeynep, but everyone should meet her. She's a pleasure to get to know.

Overall, our experience at Sedirli Ev was simply brilliant. This place is not only couple and kid friendly, but also group friendly. The rooms are fantastic. You simply can't beat this place...loved every second of it and wish we had stayed longer!

Room Tip: The room on the ground floor next to the garden is quite small. We upgraded to a room on the second...
