“Delightful, friendly boutique hotel in lovely Alacati.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2013

I can't prise this hotel enough. I was a bit nervous taking my elderly mother away. She used to work in the hotel business and knows what good service is. But from the moment we were met from the airport to the moment we left we felt completely taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble for Jelal the owner or his wonderful staff. This is my third trip to Turkey and I am always bowled over by the hospitality of the Turkish people and this was no exception. The hotel itself is sweet and quirky with lovely rooms. Spotlessly clean, large comfy beds, bathrobes and slippers in the bathroom. Alacati itself is adorable with dozens of restaurants and interesting little shops. We went at Christmas and it was pretty deserted. I would like to come back and experience it in the spring (the swimming pool looked glorious) but my mum thought it was perfect. To sit outside on Christmas Day with a delicious plate of pasta in a creamy sage sauce and a glass of rose is a true treat for an English person. Highly recommended..

This small, very charming hotel in, Alacati, a village near Cesme on the Aegean sea, was an excellent choice. Rooms and terrace by a swimming pool were delightful. The owner, Celal, a native of the region was very charming and very helpful in addressing all our questions and needs. We were there at the end of the season in October which was perfect.

For once, do believe the reviews.

We visited this place with a family of five (12/15/17)

Alacati is such a gem. The condé nast piece really does capture the essence of the town, and Celal's place BeyEvi is arguably the essential Alacati experience in terms of accommodation.

The hotel is cosy, warm, private, relaxed. The rooms are nice, tastefully decorated.

For the price of the hotel there are a couple of things that could be better:
- better Wifi coverage. But this is easily solved.
- less extras for the breakfast (fresh juice, eggs etc). But the owner explained why they chose to do this: with everything included, people order sides without thinking, barely touching them, and som much of the good cooking and fresh ingredients go to waste.

Still, I fully give this place five stars. It feels like no hotel we have ever been to. I long to go back to this place. To slow down time a bit, to relax in the beautiful courtyard at the pool, wake up in the beautiful rooms, talk with Celal and the guests over a good glass of wine after dinner under the vines. Stroll in the streets, and eat at the wonderful places all around Alacati. Oh my. Good times. Also for the kids. They had a wonderful, large room. Maybe somewhat noisy next to the dining area, but nothing bad, really.

The staff go out of their way, really, to help you, and feel more like co-owners of the place than like employees. All this in combination with kitesurfing and windsurfing conditions close by that are truly superb.

Aaagh. Sigh. What a place. I would rather Alacati not be covered on TripAdvisor, because frankly, I'm afraid that it will become like Kalkan. (which is truly awful — avoid at all costs. Cheap, loud and ugly.)

If you can make it, go there. Just go.

I read about the hotel in an edition of Conde Naste Traveller and booked several months in advance, even before many of these reviews appeared. As the date of our stay approached, I noticed more reviews going up on TA - all very positive.
We were 5 people travelling together, and so took 3 rooms in Beyevi and we were all really delighted at the hospitality and efficiency of Celal, his wife and their staff. The place is lovely - an older building and a modern one both surrounding a pool area which was very inviting. The decor in the rooms and public areas is very chic and boutiquey (although I appreciate it may not be to everyone's taste).
Alacati town itself has been a little "over renovated" and seems, sadly, to be more Istanbul-set over-flow than authentic ancient village. The prices also match this - at times the food at restaurants and cafes seems extortionate. But at Beyevi we never felt part of this overly touristy environment (even though the room prices are comparable to the rest of the area). But the friendliness and generosity of Celal and his team was always genuine. When we were there, several other guests and I were shown to a particular shop we wanted to visit, another solo guest was taken to a location she wanted to see, and our group was invited to sample pide from the new hotel outdoor oven. It was these little touches that made our stay what it was - we felt very well looked after and our requests all accommodated. Plus there is a delicious breakfast and next door, some top notch food available in the next door restaurant (also owned by Celal, I believe, but never forced on us). We had one (very minor) transportation hiccup but that was easily rectified and not even worth mentioning.

if you want a chic, poolside lounge-y weekend, stay at Beyevi!

Room Tip: Some of the front rooms in the older building are chic and have more character than the newer annex...

We stayed in the Beyevi Hotel for one week having seen it advertised in the Daily Telegraph weekend supplement. We were not disappointed. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the room was gorgeous and clean and comfortable and the patio door out to the sparkling blue pool was wonderful. The air conditioning was great and the little touches like bathrobes and slippers made us feel very pampered. My only suggestion would be that it would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was a great little fridge in the room though so we bought bottles of water and juice from the corner store a few doors down the road and you could get drinks from the hotel bar. Breakfast was the highlight of the day with fresh fruit, delicious cheeses, jams and breads. Fruit juice was available at an extra cost. The hotel owner Celal was a fantastic host, he went out of his way to make us feel welcome and even drove us to a local beach one day and arranged a hire car for us too. His local recommendations for restaurants were always first class. The rest of the hotel staff are a real credit to the hotel, always friendly and helpful. There were also unexpected touches like bringing us an afternoon Cay and biscuits as we sat by the pool which were very appreciated. The hotel is close to the center of Alacati and all its shops and restaurants, and its fabulous Saturday market! We loved every minute and were very sad to leave. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Choose a room to the back of the Hotel overlooking the pool!!

Four of us (2 couples) spent 3 days in Alicati recently and stayed at the BeyEvi Hotel, having come across it in TripAdvisor. From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome by the staff and attended to our every need immediately and pleasantly. The hotel is stunning in itself, we saw other tourists photographing the hotel from the front door through to to the swimming pool and beyond and there were 2 .professional groups shooting outside their front door.
Situated right in the middle of the old town it is ideally situated and a haven away from all of the hustle in the streets.
We met our genial host Celal who is the most welcoming man and gave us of his time and gave us hints and tips of where to go to and where to eat and was very helpful.
We had dinner the first evening we were there and Turkish cuisine is on a par with any country in the world and the salads, spices and fish were simply superb. Breakfast each morning was eye opening with plenty of choices - the very best of Turkey and with the choice of European alternatives for the few who wanted their traditional breakfast.
If we had longer time we would loved to have lazed around the pool as many of the guests did, but we were anxious to visit the town and get a taste of Turkey. We all agreed that if and when we came back we would spend 1 week in BeyEvi to fully enjoy what they had to offer. As I write this i would describe BeyEvi as a way of life not just a boutique hotel, the friendly staff who are so obliging led by Celal a great team and would unhesitatingly recommend this to all ages. We were touring Turkey and stayed in 9 (nine) different hotels and Bey Evi is easily the most memorable, personable and enjoyable.

Room Tip: We stayed on the ground floor leading on to the swimming pool so had our own little space outside th...

Personally booked this boutique hotel for very close friends visiting from the States and spent time with them at the premises for couple days.

Exotic location and carefully decorated premises were augmented by the excellent personal service, led by the owner at the helm.

Overall experience was a delight and definitely recommended!
