“Perfect for family history fun!”
Reviewed 19 August 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Ben and Jaye are such gracious hosts. We traveled with wife, infant and grandparents to this beautiful place. The experience is so unique and family friendly it truly meets the highest expectations. The personalized tours of the battlefields mixed with the sublime hospitality of the Trumble's is second to none. If you are planning a visit search no further, you have found the right place!

“The Only Way to Tour Normandy”
Reviewed 5 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Memorable, remarkable, brilliant don't begin to describe our time with Ben and Jaye Trumble. Having retired from the military and read military history extensively I hoped for a tour that would expand my understanding and depth of knowledge about Normandy. I wasn't disappointed. We were welcomed to Ben and Jaye's beautifully restored 16th century manor house just minutes from Sainte Mere Eglise where we were treated like old friends. Jaye, a welcoming hostess treated us to a lovely French breakfast each morning and delicious dinner in the evening. Ben, a historian by education, has dug deeply into the D-Day events. Our two full days of touring the airborne sites and beaches were accompanied by Ben's thoughtful and thorough discussion of each site, as well as extensive background information gleaned from his research and friendships with many life long residents of the area. Our days were capped with a discussion of the day's events and planning for our next day. We couldn't have asked for more. There is no better way to tour Normandy.

“A not to be missed experience. Sign up this minute!”

Our first visit to the area for our family of five. I'm quite sure there is not a better way to experience Normandy than with Ben. His tour is exceptional, bringing to life the events of DDay and the days that followed. His wealth of knowledge and his passion and enthusiasm for that chapter in history are endless.
After packing the days full of sightseeing, the icing on the cake was spending the evenings in Ben and his lovely wife Jaye's beautiful Manor, sharing stories over kir royales, sitting down to one of Jaye's delicious dinners and retiring to their comfortable bedrooms for the night. I highly recommend this most unique tour.

“Reliving Normandy June 1944, an experience of a lifetime”
Reviewed 14 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

From the early morning walk through the dew covered grounds surrounding the Manor, to the marvelous French breakfast (with that bread to die for!), to the days thrilling, moving and often emotional journeys through the events of D-Day, this was the one of the absolute best experiences that we’ve had in our many travels. The accommodations were worthy of a 5 star rating. Coming back to the Manor in the late afternoon to a time of relaxation and fond reminiscing of the day’s activities and excursions, followed by a delicious dinner and lively discussions around the table, made us all feel like we were at home.

Ben’s knowledge goes well beyond expectations. Battle scenes came alive as he spoke to us. His explanations of the events are not just a regurgitation of facts, but a truly heartfelt encounter with a man who feels deeply about the events themselves. This is Ben’s heart - and you see/feel it at every venue visited.

Thank you, Ben and Jaye, for an incredible 3 days. Words can’t describe our time with you. This was on our bucket list, and the bucket is now filled to overflowing!

“There aren't enough superlatives to describe our experience!”
Reviewed 11 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We had an engaging, educational, exciting and most memorable time with Ben and Jaye. Accommodations and food were both top-notch. We felt like we were staying in a French manor with old friends! Ben's tour guide skills are amazing and did, as others have mentioned, bring history alive. My head and heart are full to bursting with new knowledge and new friends. Don't miss out on an opportunity to "walk in the footsteps of heroes" with Ben.

“Don't book anywhere else! Cannot wait to go back!”
Reviewed 24 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

What an amazing time we had. Ben and his wife Jaye are the most gracious hosts you could ever imagine. Ben is so incredibly knowledgable and took us to not only the important sites for D-Day but weaved stories of both the French people who were liberated and the lives of American soliders who experienced the war during this time. Jaye made wonderful home cooked meals and tailors your meals to any type of food preferences you may have (mine being vegetarian). It felt like we had known them for 20 years! We cannot wait to return and have Ben teach us more about the history of the war. We look forward to sitting around the kitchen table in their beautiful home and having wonderful meals and chatting away the evening.

“Meaningful reflection on WWII history”

My Dad ( 91 yrs. old & a WWII Vet ; served in the Pacific Theater), my Sister and Brother-in-law and I spent three days exploring the Normandy area and listening to the D-Day history via stories ben told of men who were there and gave their lives. We have talked about a trip to Normandy for some time and when I found out about Ben and his Tour Guide skills...I knew this was the trip for us. My Dad was so moved by the stories of men, his age during the War, and how they served their country in the Normandy area. We have re-lived our few days with Ben over the family dinner table many times since.
My Brother - in - Law had a cousin who was killed in Normandy. Ben did extra research on him for us. What an exceptional experience
