“Incredible Service, Incredible Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 October 2013

We found this place at the very last moment during a quick road trip from Brussels to France and we were thrilled we did. Yann, the innkeeper, took the time to tell us all about the area, the best places to go, and the best routes to take that would give us the most scenic drives.

We pulled in at 10 pm, and Yann not only checked us in, but had a breakfast of coffee, croissants, yogurt, and coffee at our doorstep early the next morning. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms, while not elaborate, had everything we needed and plenty of space. This was my first visit to France and Yann made it a great one. His tips for where and when to see sites like Mont. St. Michel, Concale, Saint Melo, and Dinon were spot on and saved us time and money. We could not have been more happy!

We were not able to stay as long as we originally planned - but we will return! Our host was welcoming, his suggestions for dinner gave us several different options (we chose to go to the Telegraphe, a nearby creperie, which was exactly what we wanted and gave us a local history lesson as well). The studio exceeded expectations (one of the most comfortable beds wev've slept in pn this trip,), the basket of breakfast kept us going all day, and the garden in back was an oasis of calm beauty. Even though it is on the main (small) road, the double glazed windows keep out ALL noise! His suggestions the following day for how to make the best of a shortened visit were impeccable. We look forward to our return. It is a bit hard to find - either print out a map or get good directions. We had no cell phone coverage.

Together with my girlfriend we stayed 4 nights at the Ferme Saint Christophe.
The place is awesome, our room was excellent, so cosy, welcoming and clean almost impossible to describe in words, but you still have a chance: spend a few days in this wonderful piece of heaven.
Yann, the owner, was very helpful and supportive during the all stay: he greeted us with warm homemade cookies and cider on the house, he gave us some excellent tips regarding the places to visit in the area together with a map of the surroundings. All the best also to his lovely family.
The garden in the back yard is splendid, everything is green and tidy so you can relax so deep.
You' ll find everything you need from parking place to a well equipped kitchen, including a barbecue in the back yard, sun beds in the garden, a clean bathroom, a perfect bed, as I already said everything you need for a perfect stay.
I recommend to take the breakfast at the farm, because is home made with many traditional products and it's delicious.
Places to visit: Mont Saint-Michel, Cancale, Saint-Malo, Dinan (for more informations and tips don't hesitate to ask Yann)
If you want to visit Normandie an Bretagne this is the perfect place to stay.

While it was a bit tricky to find, Ferme Saint Christophe is a wonderful place to stay. The host, Yann, is a wonderful individual to deal with and was very helpful to us during our brief stay. The farm gives you easy access to Mont St. Michel and to the entire Northern Brittany region. We only spent two nights there, and just barely scratched the surface.

It was our first trip to Basse Normandie and Yann`s advice was great for visiting the surroundings and for restaurants. The apartment was clean, it had everything one needs in the kitchen and a big bathroom. The farm has also a beautiful garden and is conveniently located between St Malo and Mont st Michel if you are travelling by car. The traditional food - fresh mussels, pancakes, fish- and the cidre are great even in the small restaurants.

After misjudging how long it would take to get to Mont St. Michel from CDG if you don't take the autoroute the whole way, it was lovely getting to the Ferme Saint Christophe! Yann is an incredibly nice and helpful host! A lovely plate of his almond gateau was awaiting us and we were famished! We were upgraded to a 2 bdrm suite and where else can 3 travelers each have their own rooms in France for €100 a night?

Our 2 bdrm suite isn't as charmante as the pictures and although a little utilitarian, everything was clean, handy and functional! wifi is available in and around the office which isn't a bad thing unless it rained as much as it did this June - but why be on the grid on vacation?

All in all the FSC was a great little gite!

Only stayed 2 nights as we were running short of time at the end of our holiday, but wished we could have spent longer here - didn't realise that this was such a lovely part of the country, with so much to see and do, plus our room at Ferme St Christophe was great! We had one of the studios and it was really spacious, with a nice size bathroom (bath with shower nozzle & hose), and a little kitchen with just about everything you would need to use while you are on vacation (we cooked here both nights). The studio is one of several self catering apartments in nicely converted old farm buildings - so quite charming, and with a lovely garden area available for guests use. The owners are very nice (as everyone has commented) and are happy to help answer questions and give you pointers on what to see and do. Apart from Mont St Michel, which is very easy to access from the Gite, it is also really nicely located for exploring the interesting and scenic local area - we did the coastal drive round to St Malo (and saw loads of lovely walks, cute fishing villages and great places to pick up oysters and mussels!); and managed to fit in a brief trip to Dinan which looks like it would be well worth spending a day in (gorgeous old buildings, castle walls, and wonderful foodie stores....). And managed to find a huge prehistoric standing stone on the way back - very Asterix & Obilix). Could have happily spent a week exploring around here....
