Lovely visit to taste the products. My father left his Harris tweed cap on the bench outside when we returned later that evening for dinner at les Tonneaux, it was still there.

We've been on a -lot- of wine and brandy tours, living in Moldova. There's not much else to do there. This place's tour is short, but has a video, and the aging barns smell like heaven. Not much of the actual process is shown; for example, no distillation vats or bottling process. The tasting was very relaxed and friendly, and we were allowed to taste just about anything we wanted to. We also ended up happily buying 200 euros of Calvados for the trip home....

Calvados distillery with a museum depicting how calvados was produced in old times and featuring a small exhibition of different crafts of older times. Museum and distillery are accessible only with a guided tour which run every hour (timings depend on the time of the year). Beware that there can be a big group scheduled for certain time and then the place gets crowded (might be worth checking in advance if there are groups scheduled for the day of your visit). The tour lasts around 40 minutes, starts in a barn with the big press for apples from before, then moves to a movie with interesting facts about production and then proceeds to the modern part of the distillery where the apple spirit is aging in huge barrels. The tour predictably finishes with a tasting of two types of calvados in the distillery shop where you can purchase different bottles including quite old ones.
Admission price is around 4 EUR. There is free parking on the grounds for customers.
Our guide was very friendly and so were the staff in the shop.
Worth a visit to learn about calvados-making and buy some to take home with you.

A nice place with free tastings and very affordable Calvados. The people were friendly and after the tour bus left we got the place to ourselves to taste a lot of different Calvados, I enjoyed it a lot.

A very interesting and informative tour, don't drive after the tastings though!
