Tigh na Sgiath is a wonderful place to stay. Iain is very welcoming and the inn is warm and inviting. The best part, however, is Elaine's cooking. Her dinners include perfectly cooked fish, game, and vegetables, and rival those we've had at the best restaurants in the US and Europe. Our only slight complaints are that the bed in our room was extremely hard, and that Iain needs to change the music in the dining room. By our third night we were able to start humming the tunes before they started in the hour-long loop.

This was our second visit and, despite the weather, it was delightful. Ian makes you feel so welcome and Elaine works her magic in the kitchen and produces the best that Scotland has to offer with a contemporary twist. The place is immaculate - everything sparkles and shines. Long may this place propser! Highly recommended to anyone who is considering a break here.

The setting of the hotel isn't great as it sits almost slap bang against a couple of residential houses, but once you're inside you're in another world. Iain and Elaine have created a perfect place to relax and unwind. The service is wonderful and the food ... as a none meat eater it's a rare treat to have a choice of 3 excellent vegetarian meals on the main course of the fabulous 5 course dinner menu - not a risotto or pasta in sight. The hotel caters for GF and dairy free diets too - again all too rare.

The use of locally sourced food beautifully cooked, plus Iain's warm welcome on arrival, and excellent service, made this a trip to remember, and one that we will certainly repeat.

Visited this Hotel early July 2011. What find! We were welcomed by one of the owners who was extremely welcoming and made us feel very relaxed. Complimentary drinks were a treat. The room we were allocated was lovely and the bed so comfortable. There were fresh flowers, fruit and tea and coffee in the room. The place was spotless. However, the real winner for me was the food! It was simply outstanding. A five course meal that was to die for. The dining room was gorgeous and relaxing. Breakfast was outstanding also. We both loved it! Will definitely visit again.

I stayed at this hotel in June, having visited it on numerous occasions. The hotel is stunning and overlooking the Cromdale mountains. The rooms are immaculate and extremely coimfortable. and red squirrels feed frequently from the nut boxes in the garden - a true haven.
I have recently eaten at the restaurant of a michelin star chef and believe that the food at Tigh na Sgiath is better. Breakfast includes porridge, or yoghurt and fruit, followed by a huge cooked Scottish breakfast or the most delicious kipper ever! Dinner consists of five courses followed by home-made chocolates and coffee or tea.
There is lots to do in the area, my favourites are The Heather Centre, Logie Steading, the Smokehouse, the beach at Findhorn, the local town of Grantown on Spey, the steam train, the wild life park........ I look forward to my next visit. Thank you for another AMAZING stay.
