This pub claims to be the highest pub in Cornwall set in the village of St Breward in Bodmin Moor. A lunch time meeting with friends, a very friendly atmosphere, good plateful of “pub grub” at a reasonable price.

We came here the day after we arrived in the area, I had booked the last table in the restaurant and we were not disappointed with our visit. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming even though we were early. The waitress explained the system as we had never been there before. You could choose from 1 or 2 or 4 meats and then help yourself with the accompaniments. The food was excellent and a lot of choice of vegetables. We plan to go again in the evening as we enjoyed it so much.

Went here with my family on our trip to Cornwall for our last meal out and it was lovely. Really tasty and great portion size. We wanted to move to the traditional part of the pub once sat in the other area and there was no problem they re-seated us and made sure we were happy. Would go again if I come back to Cornwall in future.

We had dinner here whilst staying nearby on Bodmin Moor - I had the Seafood Thermidor and my boyfriend had fish & chips. The portion sizes are huge, neither of us could finish our meals which was a shame as the food was delicious.
Very friendly staff. Dog friendly in the large bar area.
