If you just want good honest pub grub and a price to match, I can't fault the Mason's Arms. Service is always good and quick, the food is always hot and tasty and you don't leave feeling you need to take out a mortgage to pay for the evening. If you want cordon bleu, go somewhere else, but for good pub grub, this is a great place.I have given it 'excellent' because it doesn't pretend to be something it's not and it delivers what you expect. Long may it remain so!

We visited this pub for an evening when we were moored up on the canal in Wilmcote village. 10 minute walk from mooring passed Mary Arden's house.
The pub has a local friendly feel and the menu choice was good. Filo prawns excellent plus the Thai fishcakes recommended. Enjoyed the atmosphere and our visit.

We visited at lunch time with two young grandchildren and sat outside in the conservatory. Menus were brought to the table promptly, cushions offered for the children, all with a friendly smile. When the food arrived it was wholesome, freshly cooked and well presented. The chef had even made a face on the pizza, out of vegetables, for the grandchildren. A nice touch.
There was a pleasant grassed area outside with picnic tables and willow trees. Adequate off road parking. Everything reasonably priced and good value.
We will come here again.

We went here as part of our canal boat holiday from Stratford upon Avon.

It`s only a short distance from Stratford on Avon, but if travelling by canal boat will take 3-4 because of all the locks. The pub is a short 5 minute walk away from the canal past Anne Hathaway's cottage. A good first stop.

As others have said the pub is a bit scruffy. I don't mean this in a bad way - its just the way it is.

Staff friendly and dogs welcome. Dogs are also allowed in the pub just down the road although we read on the internet that they were not.

A pub meal was around the £8-£10 mark and portions were of a large size. I had Gammon and Eggs and had no complaints.

The food at the Masons Arms is great.
The pub itself looks a little run down, and the stools rock a bit.
The staff are great, friendly, the food is brill and there's LOADS of it.
