A real find. Very simple facilities but extremely comfortable, clean and excellent value. You couldnt ask for nicer hosts. Even my carnivore partner enjoyed the vegetarian food. Perfect French toast for breakfast.

Stayed at this wonderful little hotel for one night and had booked two double rooms. We were made to feel extremely welcome and had an amazing stay, only wished it could have been longer! From the location to the decor and wonderful home-cooked food and great wine we could not fault it. We'll definitely be back. Thanks Herman and Amala :-)
we stayed here for one night, wish it had been longer. The room was lovely with great views. A very peaceful location surrounded by amazing hills and productive gardens. Felt like we were in the real la gomera. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast very tasty. We will surely be returning for a longer stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our three days spent at this small pension with the charming Dido as our host and fabulous cook. She made us feel so very welcome and was so helpful without being in the least bit intrusive.
The room appeared freshly decorated but lack of storage/hanging space and a small fridge wd have been nice.
If you are not a walker there isn't much to do as the beach is about 3 miles away and not the best on the island. The public swimming pool is enormous but you do need a car really. We travelled by bus from San Seb and the views on the way are spectacular!
Myself and my husband stayed for 2 nights in September. We absolutely enjoyed staying in this converted historical building. Beautiful views of the valley from our room, clean and quiet. The hosts, Marc and Dido, were 100%, made us feel very comfortable and welcome. They even prepared our breaky the night before so that we could have it early in the morning before our hike to Chipude!!
We stayed at the Anaterve for 9 nights in late August in their self catering apartment which is part of the hotel. Herman and Amala, our hosts, were lovely - a very kind and helpful couple who gave us space but were available if we needed any advice or help. We stayed for dinner with them on a couple of nights and the vegetarian food was really delicious and went down very well after two long walks. The apartment is lovely with beautiful views over the small town and valley all the way to the sea. The town of Vallehermoso is a 5 minute walk down the hill but be warned that it is a big hill so hard work on the way back especially after a couple of G&Ts! Vallehermoso is big enough that it has a few bars and restaurants and the tapas called Tasca El Carraca is exceptional. The supermarket is well stocked for the self catering aspect. There are some really good walks from the hotel which we did on a few of the days and that take you up into the hills with outstanding views above the clouds and across to the other Canary Islands. There are some good little bars/restaurants on some of the walks where you can get some well needed lunch. Overall an excellent holiday in a wonderful hotel - very quiet and peaceful - I would recommend this in a heartbeat and am sure this will be the first of many trips to this lovely island.
