Villa Lattanzi is a beautiful recently restored old villa converted to 5 stars hotel. Staff is extremely caring and you can really feel at home. Highly recommended for a romantic stay and even if you are planning your wedding: hotel, romantic church and restaurant, all in the same place are at your disposal!

My wife and i booked villa Lattanzi for our wedding anniversary. On arrivial, very welcoming staff, glass of prosecco and a room which was as good as Italy had to offer. Unfortunately the food and attitude in the restaurant was as bad and ultimately insulting as we have experienced.

The "toasted foie gras" was pâté. I didn't mind and let that slip. But my wife asked for a meat lasagna. It was an insult what the chef and hostess allowed us to be served. It was visibly inedible. Was burnt on top and hard. We sent it back and complained only to be met with "yes you are right it should not have left the kitchen". Why did it though? We were the only couple in the restaurant and you would expect a hotel of this standard to not simply have better food but not to insult guests. We also asked for a wine recommendation. When it arrived there was no comment on how much it cost. The most expensive wines in the menu were €45. We asked 3 times for bill only I be told "it will just be on your room bill". When we finally got the bill we could see why they were reluctant to show us the bill..... The wine was €90, the pate was €18 and the burnt lasagna was €24.

We were left with a bitter taste. Italian restaurants in Marche are simply wonderful. To find a stunning hotel and a supposedly great restaurant we thought we were on to a winner. Rather now we leave being disappointed and ultimately as if we'd been made fools of.

A real shame.

A fine boutique hotel in a great location. Sea view, competent service, fine linens and good bed.
Quiet and convenient to those exploring the surrounding valleys or doing business locally.

As we had an unexpected weekend break we hastily surfed the internet and found this charming new hotel by chance. We arrived in the evening and something magic opened up in front of us! It was like going back in time, we could have been on a carriage going to our residence at sea! We went in January and were lucky enough to have a long sunny spell and the place almost all to ourselves as an extra bonus!

The former private villa then seminary has a small, refurbished chapel right by, a beautiful and perfectly manicured garden and a view to kill.

Rooms are modern and tastefully decorated; bathroom large and nicely appointed and everything is spotless clean. We had a package that included dinner and we had the best fish ever! Breakfast in the small conservatory was plenty and good. Some complimentary bottled water in the room would have added a nice touch though!

It has all the pluses of a five star hotel (internet connection for free is a bonus) but the nice feeling of a family run hotel. Antonella was really nice and helpful with suggestions about exhibitions in the area, what to see and where to go. Everybody was nice and efficient.

The small village nearby Torre di Palme is an incredibly well preserved and kept village atop a hill and the restaurant Lu Focarò really worth a visit.

We found a beautiful and unspoiled part of Italy, off the tourist route with lots to see and do: Ascoli Piceno and the bountiful of fascinating old villages in the area make it a really worthwhile visit. A plus is The Prada outlet a twenty something miles away!!

Definitely a must!

Thanks to Antonella, the cook and all the staff for making our stay a perfect one!

Room Tip: Asl for a room with a view of the garden and sea.
