“An unforgettable vacation”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

We stayed at Villa Vinci for a week in mid September. This property is far from an ordinary hotel and gives you so much more than just a place to stay. The villa, which is situated on the highest point of the beautiful town of Fermo, with a view that can not be described in words but has to be experienced, surrounded by a beautiful and somewhat mysterious garden, is a place you could spend your whole day, should you not feel like doing anything else. In spite of the secluded atmosphere, you are not far from the charm of the ancient town of Fermo and all the beautiful valleys and mountains of Le Marche. The inviting family oriented beach by the Adriatic sea is also within comfortable reach, as long as you have access to a car. Staying at beautiful historic Villa Vinci was an altogether positive and rewarding experience, both regarding the comforts of the bed rooms and bath rooms, the well equipped kitchen and the comfortable sitting room as well as regarding the warm hospitality of Mr and Mrs Vinci. Staying at Villa Vinci is a great way to experience Italy and the Marche region.

The first week of September three years in a row we have spent at Villa Vinci, a beautiful and exciting villa on top of the hill in Fermo, Le Marche. The villa holds many centuries of history and is very well kept by the Vinci family. The apartment is comfortable with all modern facilities you need, facing a terrace with a magnificent view over agricultural fields, nearby villages and the Monti Sibillini. A stroll in the beautiful private garden surrounding the villa gives you tranquility and ideas about life at the villa hundreds of years ago. Mr & Mrs Vinci are very welcoming, helpful, warm and kind hosts.
Walking down the hill to Piazza del Popolo you have nice restaurants, small shops, a museum with classical Italian paintings, a theatre, an ancient water cisterne system and lots more to discover and look at. Some kilometres away is the wonderful beach and Mare Adriatico. No big hotels, not so many foreign tourists - all very Italian and familyoriented.
With your car you easily reach small villages in the beautiful landscape surrounding Fermo, even at surprisingly high altitudes. And the road back to Rome and the airport is also breathtaking - high mountains, green and fresh vegetation. - For sure, we will come back a fourth time!

We stayed in Villa Vince with the family (2 kids) for a week in July. The location is absolutely beautiful on top of the hill on a plateau in Fermo right opposite the Cathedral and offers stunning views over Le Marche from a huge private garden. The appartment is in antique style and has beautiful furniture but also has air condition (although not necessary as it is always cool even though outside it was 30 degrees!). The family Vinci Gigliucci are charming hosts and have had the property within the family since Napolean times and has been very helpful in giving us advise where to go and where to eat. If you want to stay in style in a very pretty city which is really close to the beach ( 6 km or about 15 minutes drive to San Giorgio which has a nice sandy beach which is very quiet in July) this is where you want to stay. We felt like royals!

Room Tip: In addition to the appartment which is for 4 or 6 persons, they also offer B&B in the palace.
