Loving the Northern Highlands Cnocnlochan is a brillant location. All you need is just near by. Scourie ia fascinating. Deer, sheep and other animals around. Handa is a must go. It is in front of your eyes.
Thank You very much!
Scourie is in an excellent position for seeing the North West coast of the Highlands and Cnoclochan is ideally placed to enjoy beautiful views. The house is very well-equipped - Martin has thought of just about everything that could be needed (apart from a toast rack and that is not vital!). The choice of books is extensive and covers every taste. Along with a good selection of DVDs, games and even a keyboard, there is plenty to do in the evening. The key safes take a bit of manipulating as they are fiddly and some external repairs required to wood but otherwise everything great. Bar meals at Scourie Hotel were good and staff very friendly. Spar shop in the village has everything else that you are likely to need. Weather was great so scenery even more magnificent. Visited Lochinver, Kinlochbervie, Durness and all remote townships west of these.
Spacious house in stunning location with beautiful views and helpful owners
Relaxed family home wiht plenty of space and amenities. Good village location with fabulous views and short stroll to beach.
Excellent location for Ullapool, Sunderland West coast and Handa Island
Handa Island and loal walking were the highlights. We found the local people so friendly and helpful - a real sense of supportive community.
The scenery in this part of Scotland is the most beautiful we have seen.
Very spacious and comfortable house with big kitchen and lounge. Located on the edge of the village but not far from the sea.
A very nice house with plenty of space for five or six. Even the weather was scottish, we all enjoyed the week in Scourie.

We really enjoyed our week in Cnoclochan. The location was beautiful and the house really comfortable, clean, and well equipped. We plan to come back soon.
Stayed here in June 2015 for a long weekend with my partner who loves fishing and walking.
Accomodation was basic however very clean. Kitchen was suitably equipped for cooking up the brown trout caught out on one of the local lochs by fly.
We do not have an open fire in our city flat so getting the fire roaring at Cnoclochan with a good glass of red in the evening was a rare pleasure.
If you like the outdoors, west coast or rugged Scotland then Scourie is a must do.
We found Cnoclochan well equipped and enjoyed the use of the dvds, books and board games which were available too.
Decor a little retro but that made it the more fun for me, i think the house could sleep 6 comfortably or 8 if you utilised the sofa bed in the huge living room.
Most importantly Cnoclochan is a five minute walk to the local pub (scourie hotel) my partner and i enjoyed a few drams here one night and got chatting with the locals who were good drinkers and a great laugh.
