Nice temple. Nice view.
Too many people trying to sell you stuff.
It is surely something to see if it is your first visit of Ubud

Down steep stair runs (with a number of shops along the way) there are spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and rice terraces which I personally found more beautiful than Tegalalang. The temple and other cultural features at the bottom of the descent are interesting and in a very attractive riverside setting. While the lung-busting climb back up to the top of the hill are tough going it is certainly worth it. This was one of my favourite sights in Bali

Look ancient and authentic.
Very interesting place. Need extra energy to up and down the step. Located not far away fro main street Tampaksiring.

11th-century temple and royal tombs carved into stone cliffs in Tampaksiring. It passes through elevating slope of the river with more then 100 steps down with beautiful rice field views. The sound of the small river(irrigation) that flows through the paddy field is soothing to the ears. There are souvenir shops along the steps down to the temple. You need to wear sarong to visit the temple. The sarong is provided at the entrance when you purchase the entrance ticket. Don't be cheated by the locals trying to sell sarong near the parking area. They will force you to buy, just decline it politely and proceed to the ticket booth and get one for free and return it on your way out.

The entrance and walking approach is busy and, typically, chaotic with local stall sellers. However once you descend into the area of the carvings it is easy to become lost in your surroundings.

Incredible to reflect on the builders constructing the area. Really worth seeing the carvings and having a walk around.
