On our motoring trips in Europe this is always our last stop before taking the ferry back to Britain, as it is about five hours from IJmuiden or Zeebrugge. The owners are very welcoming. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served in a conservatory overlooking the market square in the centre of this French-speaking town in the historically German part of Belgium. Good restaurants are within two minutes' walk in the main square. The town is just off the A27 motorway and is busy on racing days at nearby Spa-Francorchamps.
