I visited St.Paul and immediately fell in love with this quaint medieval village. L'Esplan is in a historic building in the town centre and looks very well looked after from the outside. After a lovely meal at the hotel's restaurant I decided to spend a night there. It is pricey but I thought it would be nice. I was informed before booking the room that the air conditioning did not work so that was okay. The superior room which I had was big and certainly potentially nice before someone had the idea to put two very cheap and wonky wardrobes in there and use bright green kitchen worktops as the main design element. These were not even put in professionally. The toilet was leaking from the side so every time I went to the bathroom I flooded the floor. It really is a shame because all it would have taken to make this an exceptional experience would have been a couple of hundred Euros for a decent wardrobe and good taste.
