- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
The hotel itself has nothing really particular regarding comfort, which is fine and what one would expect for this category. Beds are excellent, the room was reasonably large and very clean. Wifi works very well even in a remote room.
What is worth notice and really makes a difference is the warmth and friendliness of the personnel; every single person we had to deal with was smiling and helpful. Also the breakfast is good, with fresh products of fine quality. I would come back to this place without hesitations.
What a nice surprise to read on your Tripadvisor's comments on our Hôtel.
In the name of all my team, I would like to thank you for this attention.
We do hope to welcome you another time at IBIS STYLES BORDEAUX SUD VILLENAVE D'ORNON
I agree with the previous reviewer ... arriving here was a big worry, The parking is open, no security at all ... and when you arrive at night it seems like a dodgy area. That said, all was well in the morning. The restaurant and bar offer little in terms of ambience other than they were open when we arrived, However, that said, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was spotless ... fab shower. Just a bit dodgy without secure parking which we've become accustomed to whilst driving up and down to England from Spain ... Oh and beware the mossies!
We would like thanking you for your comment posted on tripadvisor.
All the team of the hotel are pleased and grateful for you positiv comment on their sympatical attitude.
It is true that our parking is not secured, and we do all that we can to considere for the future to revised our property manager on this point.
Looking forward seeing you next year.
We (family of 4) arrived at 6pm having driven from Calais since 9am. The car park was open and raised security concerns as our car was packed and we had a roof box. The room was large, but shabby with a big bathroom and tiny shower! It had not been cleaned properly. There were stains in the toilet which were disgusting and a dirty water bottle under one of the beds. We just wanted to eat, have a beer and sleep! Upon arrival at the restaurant we were given menus which were poor, there was no a la carte on the weekend (which we were told after we had chosen from the a la carte menu). They only had 3 pork steaks left (there were 4 of us) with pasta or rice; no chips, no veg, no salad. This was for €17 each! The waiter told us they had run out of everything as Saturday had been very busy and this was the "weekend" menu. This menu was very expensive. We ended up going to McDonalds which was a 2 mins walk away and spending €15! Not the first night holiday meal we had imagined in France. We returned to the hotel and had 4 beers, a Fanta and a lemonade which took ages to be served, despite us being the only customers in the bar. It cost over €25 - again it was the weekend menu. On the plus side; the room was quiet and the staff (all 2 of them) were friendly. However, we would NEVER return, or book an Ibis hotel on our future travels through Europe, especially on a weekend.
Many thanks for your comments, just a mail to inform you that lots of changes has been done in our hotel.
Looking forward seeing you again.
Well run and with friendly staff this hotel is good value for money. The first night we were there there was a major storm but the staff coped amazingly and only a non working lift in the morning gave any sign of it despite them being up all night to deal with it. Breakfast was good value we were even able to squeeze oranges for juice.
